Angeloregon (1549), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 23, 2007 Tasted at 2006 Portland fresh hop fest--Not a very hoppy tasting fresh hopped beer, but very smooth and well balanced. Comes across more like an exemplary pale ale. harrisoni (4930), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 30, 2006 On tap at Horse Brass Pub, Portland. Hazy gold, no head. Raspberries. Nicely hopped bitter. Bit of yeast. Floral hop aroma, some caramel malt, goodish structure, hops on end. Floral, nice. DA (2280), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Oct 7, 2006 Yah, i’m with steve on this one, this was one funky brew, just tasted like sweet wort. The finish tasted sweet and cloudy with got in the way of any good fresh hop tastes. I’m hoping when i have this next week at the fresh hop fest in portland its better, cause this is the first bad brew i’ve had from Ninkasi. 11026 (1886), USA Oct 7, 2006 Tap at Hood River Hops Fest. This dog should have been put down long before it reached the public. Pours a medium amber color and fairly clear, scant white head that fades quickly and little lacing. Aroma is freshly boiled wort. Thick and syrupy, plenty of IBU’s. Taste is far too sugary to even have gotten half way through fermentation. Seriously, this beer tastes like wort would if it were carbonated. A true shame that this was served...
