Rich, full bodied and surprisingly smooth this Imperial Stout has a big roast hit up front balanced by ample hop bitterness.

near black pour with light brown head - aroma of fruit and roasted malt - extremely sweet with typical imperial stout flavors (coffee, molasses, brown sugar) and a lingering sweetness.

Inky black with a thin foamy head of a light tan hue. Earthy nose with some roasted black malt tones. The flavor is a bit boozy and earthy and bland, just roasted black malt in there and some gentle char, and light booze. Really one dimensional and disappointing.

This has a sticky, foamy head on a dark pour. The flavors features full on dark malts. Coffee, rye, and chocolate blend together into a sturdy whole. It starts sweet and then finishes sharp and hoppy. There is toasted coffee and cola in the aroma. A very good IS and offered at a good price, too.

Black pour with small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, and hint of hops. Taste of roasted malts, coffee, unsweetened chocolate, hint of caramel and faint hops. Full bodied, perfect carbonation and perfectly balanced. Everything works together great in this beer with no over the top flavors or bitterness that is characteristic of this style. Just a nice smooth excellent beer!

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. There is a ton of coffee in this beer, some bitter chocolate, light caramel maltiness, fruity alcohol notes, and a firm bitterness.

Pour on tap at Union Barrelhouse, darkblack pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark fruit, chocolate, coffee into a bit of roast, slight caramel with a hint of vanilla, slight sweet molasses. Taste was a mix of thick roast, coffee intoa slight dark chocolate, cocoa powder type note with a hint of dark caramel, finishing slightly sweet, slightly roasted.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Aroma is chocolate and vanilla, some cocoa. Flavour is lighter bodied than expected, but nice chocolate and cocoa notes, pretty flavourful. Not bad.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black, tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Flavor is similar. Really unremarkable for an imperial stout.
