Rich, full bodied and surprisingly smooth this Imperial Stout has a big roast hit up front balanced by ample hop bitterness.

Bomber from Bevmo in Vacaville, CA. Nice Imp stout with all the usual flavors. Medium bodied brew with hints of chocolate. Biggest con was a lingering sweet aftertaste, Overall a decent beer.

"Dark chocolate, licorice and mocha abounds. A little light for the style but so drinkable and smooth it kinda makes up for it. Not a hoppy Imperial, but enough for balance."

Dark brown, rich molasses aroma with some nice dark sugars. Medium body for style, but rich slightly sticky texture. A balanced, tasty impy, lighter but really good.

Bottle shared with jackl, thanks! Clear very dark maroon brown color, beige head. Aroma of chocolate and licorice candy. Taste is lightly spiced peppermint, dark cocoa, coffee. Very nice.

Bottle split w/ Travlr. Cheers! Deep brown with a thick tan head. Toffee and dark roasted chocolate. Toasted nuts and vanilla cream. Flavor of toasted brown bread. Substantial chewy malts. Dark cocoa. Roasted coffee. Peanut butter. A bit light and watery, slick. Soft carbonation. Decent.

650 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a nearly opaque black-brown color with a small khaki colored head that has fair retention. The aroma is medium in strength with a very pronounced anise and licorice character. The taste, unlike the aroma, is dominated by chocolates, mocha and coffee. there is just a touch of anise and plenty of bitter walnuts on the back end. The palate is full and smooth, but just a tad thinner than I have some to expect in a RIS. The finish is long and dry. Overall: Fairly decent and not too sweet.

Bottle: Very dark brown, topped with a finger of creamy beige head. No real lacing to speak of, but a nice beige ring throughout. Nose isn’t overly assertive, but roast and cocoa dominated. Roast, cocoa, and hops combine for a roasty and bittersweet cocoa taste. Good flavors and very drinkable. Seems a little on the lighter side (for an impy stout), but in a good way. Easily polished off the bomber solo with no adverse effects.

Nice strong chocolate flavor on this deep choc brown ale with a creme light brown head of tiny bubbles. A strong chocolate flavor stay through out this heavy bodied brew with a nice bitter flavor for the balance. After another sip i notice the burn of alcohol at the tail end of the tasteing.

Visual: Pours super dark brown with barely any head, a thin layer of retention, some minimally visible activity. Nose: roasted caramel malts. (lvl-5)-pungency Attack: crisp silky-fizzy mouthfeel, incoming dark caramel Mid-palate: (lvl-6)-sweetness, (MAIN) soy sauce, deep roasted malts, coffee, caramel, chocolate, licorice Finish: mild-medium sourness, bittersweet mocha roasted bitter finish. Summary: A solid full-bodied stout with great smoothness and drinkability despite the 9.1%. The finish could be a bit smoother but otherwise a steal for the price.
