3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 erickok (2280) - Tours, FRANCE - APR 4, 2013
Okay looking misty dark golden body with frothy grey head. Interesting aroma of fermenting fruit, wort, spruce and light earthy malts. Tasty yet not too expressive fruity bitterness. Simple and short hops, but very drinkable. Like the style of this brew, even though it isn’t very deep or complex. Moderate ABV is appreciated, as is the moderate carbonation. Can’t really fault this to be honest; maybe it’s not the hop forward brew than people hoped for. Nice label/bottle style too. I like it! (75cl bottle from Au Nom De La Bière)
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 Swaroga (788) - Brussels, BELGIUM - FEB 17, 2013
75cl. bottle. Cloudy orange with a medium, white head. Nose : wet hay, bread, ginger cookie, orange zest. Sip : well carbonated, bubbly in the throat, water like density with oily texture. Sweet ginger cookie flavour with citrus bite. Moderate bitterness is shocking since it is an IPA. It reminds more a Belgian blond. Strange... .

Yummy after a day of snowboarding at squaw valley. Had this brew at the Auld Dubliner. I'd recommend it.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 jaghana (2821) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - SEP 21, 2011
Bottle 75cl, a cloudy golden orange beer with medium head. Nose is on agrumes, aroma is yeast like and on lemon, hops is not much there, boring, finish is poor, body is low, ester, medium bitterness just a Belgian blond.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ethereal (2399) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 10, 2011
Bottle from the brewpub, drunk at ChrisO’s Christmas Tasting, 28th Dec 2010. Cloudy orange, slight white head. Light fresh linen nose. Needs more citrus bite but it’s nicely light and soft, very drinkable.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 chriso (7254) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2011
750ml bottle @ Christmas tasting on 28 December 2010. Gold/amber colour. A bit murky. Very decent hops on the nose - quite aromatic, with orange, grapefruit and grassy notes in evidence. Distinctly orange on the palate. Moderate bitterness with a touch of residual sweetness. Firm. Slightly slick, mouthfeel. May not be a blockbuster in comparison with many US IPAs but it’s a solid effort from country hardly known for producing IPAs. I can safely say it’s the best French IPA I’ve tried.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ungstrup (26193) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JAN 22, 2011
Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt and fruits. The flavor is sweet acidic with notes of malt and fruit some from citrus fruits, leading to a dry, bitter, and tart finish.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 madmitch76 (9832) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2011
28th December 2010 ChrisOs Christmas Tasting. Very hazy gold beer with a very small white head. Softish palate with mild carbonation. Marmaladish orange with sweet caramel malt underneath. Finishes soft. Like the way this beer delivers it’s hops in a soft way - makes a change from the usual slap accross the chops!
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 tdtm82 (668) - Essex, ENGLAND - DEC 29, 2010
Bottle, Chris O’s Pre-NY tastings - thanks Caspar!
Aroma is oak. Sauvignon Blanc grapes, bready yeast and also a tad floral element on the nose. Taste is Sauvignon Blanc grapes, honey, sweet malts, floral hops and also quite bitter. Sweet and floral and moderalely hopped. I really am not a white wine drinker so sad to say this isn’t working for me.
