COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ninkasi used all German malt from Weyermann (pils, Munich, Caramunich and Dehusked Carafe) to concoct this Prussion-style brew. Two early additions of U.S. Hallertau hops provide a spicy balance. This beer was lagered for two months before being centrifuged, and then lagered another two months for a clean, crisp tasting experience at the festival.(Color: Brown)

Tasted a 12oz brown bottle into a mini schooner glass. Thanks Greg and Joe! It poured a clear medium brown color with weak off-white head. Aroma was sweet malt with noble hops. Flavors were Munich malt, toasty, fruity, melanoidiny, caramelly, toffee. Thin body and mouthfeel, weak finish. Decent, but not memorable.

Dark amber. Clear. Sweet malt. Candy tasting. Caramellized. Thin head. Delicious.

12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown but looks red in the light; has a small beige head that falls after a minute or two. Aroma is faint toasted marshmallow, dark fruit. Taste is sweet with hardly any bitterness. It’s roasty, nutty, creamy. Pretty tasty.

Draft at ebp. Murky dark ebony. Scant wispy tan head. Mild chocolateish black bread nose. Creamy medium body, carb is a little flabby. Black bread and dark chocolate mid palate. Not bad but kind of subdued.

Bottle. Pours dark amber-brown with a short head. Sweet fennel, toasty malt aroma with a touch of roast. Medium sweet flavor. Medium body, sticky texture, good carbonation, and a dry, grippy, toasty bitter finish.

Deep amber-brown colour. Thin white head. The nose is quite rich and sweet. Toasted malt with some stewed fruit and a nice soft sweetness. Well-attenuated though with a light bitterness that also helps cut the sweetness. Clean and quite well-lagered (always a bonus). It could probably be amped up a little bit on the body but it’s not objectionable at all. Nice brew

Bottle... Poured dark ruby-ish/brown with a thin light, khaki head. Nose had some simple syrup and sugary malt. Easy drinking lager. Some toasted sugars and bready malts. Very malty and worty. Some hop spicing but overall on the sweet side. Finish clean with residual sugars.

Dark brown body, medium off-white head, soapy lacing.Lightly roasty, crackery-bready malts, lightly earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, appropriate carbonation, nice finish.

Very dark, with an aftertaste hinting at a Porter. Good job Ninkasi, for the first time in months they have sastisfied me.

Sample at Saddle Rock in Wenatchee, WA. Cola-colored pour with a medium white head that diminishes slowly. Small patches of lace. The aroma consists of doughy malt and hops. Light body with flavors of spiced hops, bready malt and a touch of earth. The finish is hoppy up front and leaves a toasty malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
