COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A salute to the playful side of summer, we had fun with this beer! Maiden the Shade has a big robust hop character from the liberal use of 7 different varieties of hops. It s completed with a light colored malt backbone to stay in balance. Kick back and enjoy!

Bomber. Golden orange pour, with a white head. Pine, grapefruit, balanced malt backbone, some sweetness, herbal hops, and moderate bitterness. A well balanced IPA. Decent, but not too interesting.

Nice medium gold with a touch of haze, though itís hard to tell in this dimly-lit pub. Strangely very little on the nose - I managed to dip my nose into it a bit looking for the scent, without finding any (and yes, this is my first beer of the night, clearly Iím just a bit clumsy). Taste is a strongly bitter. Pine and lemon hops, very nicely balanced. Drinkable, with a lingering finish. I like it.

22 oz bottle. Gold and hazy with a white head. Bitter, floral, herbal. Medium body.

Bottle - Tropical fruits and a sweet malt backbone. Clear gold with a bubbly white head. Orange and a citrus bitterness with a bit of pine. A decent IPA but nothing great, the bitterness is a bit overwhelming.

Light, citrus heavy nose with a sweeping, effervescent hop fervor. Itís a good intermediate IPA, when you donít feel like trudging through a murky abyss of joyous - but steep - hopiness. A pretty good summertime brew with kick. Lots of points for Ninkasi on this one.

Bomber. Pours gold with white head. Nose is orange, caramel, grassy. Flavour is more orange than anything, with more dry hop grassiness. A bit thinner and drier than expected at the finish. Good stuff, but to me nothing remarkable as it was to many raters, could just be that I try a lot of this style being in the PNW.

Cloudy orange pour from 22oz. White fluffy head. Bitter apricot floral and citrus notes. Slight malty backbone. Good beer

What can I say? Hoppy, Hoppy, Hoppy! This is definitely brewed to be consumed during the heat of summer. As the label implies: find a nice shade tree, pop the cap, & enjoy the summer. Drink fresh!

From 22oz bottle to shaker. Pour is a transparent gold, thick full head. Aroma is verry hoppy, floral, slight malt. Taste is light bodied, very bitter. Finishes well with a heavy carbonation. Good beer, Ninkasi sure loves its hops.

(22oz bomber) clear medium to deep gold, excellent offwhite lacing and soapy bubbles. Nose of heavy malt, herbal hops, grassy, touch of corn creeping in but not offensive, candi sugar, and cream. Smells pretty unique for an IPA. Taste is rather herbal and grassy, oily body, lightly bitter citrus peel, balanced by the heavy malt, though no unfermented sugars going on in here, creamy finish with medium, natural-feeling carbonation.
