COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A salute to the playful side of summer, we had fun with this beer! Maiden the Shade has a big robust hop character from the liberal use of 7 different varieties of hops. It s completed with a light colored malt backbone to stay in balance. Kick back and enjoy!

Tap at the brewery. Orange pour with a white head. Aroma is resinous pine hops. Spicy, cat pee and some fruitiness. Hop character is massive but muddled. Flavor is mostly bitter with some of the flavor notes coming forward slightly. Big bitter aftertaste. Ok.

Glass from a bottle. Thanks JLH. Clear straw gold, minimal cap but the ring sticks for okay lacing. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, cookie. Taste is where the hops shine. Similar presence of malt showcased in aroma, but a nice dank attic yeasty taste, and citrus rind. Drawn out dryness.

Poured from the bottle. Slightly hazy. Nice head and good lacing. Aroma is of Nobel hops? Not too strong though. Flavour is very mellow and quite seasonable. Palate is clean and has a bright bitterness, but no real defined hop flavour coming through. Probably the most disappointing Ninkasi Iíve had.

August 2012. 22 oz. bottle. Perfect summer beer. Golden yellow color with a nice white head. Lots and lots of hops with malty aromas. Citrus, pine, resin, itís all there. Dry, bitter finish.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Golden pour with a white head. The aroma is full of biscuit malt with some spices and grape notes. The flavor is similar with grass, alcohol, oranges and spice. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Golden color with frothy white head that dissipates to lacing quickly. Aroma is all hop, floral and citrus. Tasty is pretty bitter, but the malty backbone is there. Well balanced brew. Medium body; lively carbs, slightly astringent finish. Not my go to style, but it's good for what it is. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber from whole foods Portland. I questioned myself giving this ipa a 10 for taste but if this beer doesn't deserve a 10, what does? Delicious clean fresh hoppy brew - I would like to compare this beer in a taste test with ninkasi 's std ipa; both are tremendous. Clean citrus hop flavor very fresh. This is A truly exceptional ipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lager colored ale with lively, piney and citrusy hops on the nose. Mouthfeel is creamy with a nicely balanced hopped finish. Even though this is 6.8 abv you may just want to crown it your perfect summer session beer.

Pours a golden yellow color with white head. Fruit, citrus and hop aromas. Citrus, hop and malt flavors. Smooth fruity, bitter finish. Good.

A specialty ale... A floral hoppy aroma slightly sweet smelling. The color is a hazy yellow maybe 8or 10 srm. Has a white head. The taste a tangy tart bitter taste offset by a sweetness but not overpowering. Its a medium bodied brew with good carbonation. Over all its a crisp brew good to bbq
