3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft - Toasted malts, burnt sugar and oak. Jet black with a thin head. All wood and little beer. I would never guess this is a porter. I like wood so I like this.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a hazy dark amber brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of oak, wood chips, and a little whiskey - don’t get any regular porter notes. Flavour brings out wood chips, whiskey and oak, similarly to the nose, and some light roasty notes. Light-bodied and oaky - big time affected by the barrels. Good stuff.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught. Arbitrary score 4/5 for Appearance, as nighttime conditions prevented correct assessment. Bourbon, vanilla, fresh oak, sweet-ish. Sweet, very vanilla-determined flavour, with an ever so slight sourness the only indication of the original Porter. Bourbon, but little or no alcoholsigns. Quite slick, grist slickness, but not really full-bodied. Baltic Porter in a Bourbon vat? It does not really work, IMO.
