January 2011. 22 oz. bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. Roasted malt, coffee and chocolate aromas. Rich and robust, very nice mouthfeel. Smooth finish.

Tap at Commons Santa Monica. Thick coffee foam. Clear deep cola brown. Nose is tootsie roll, paper, dusty. Taste is tangy, lemon, lots of acid extraction, bitter roasty coffee. Some thick chocolate. Palate is definitely lactic and a bit too tart for style.

Smells like chocolate and caramel, tastes like chocolate and coffee. Nice balance of sweetness and bitterness. Great oatmeal stout.

Thick black pour... Aroma of sweet roasted malts, hint of vanilla... Flavor is oats, roasted malts, with notes of dark chocolate and coffee... Really solid everyday stout ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black with no head. Coffee aromas but little else. Slight sweet chocolate and coffee flavors with a bit of sweetness. Bit of oiliness on the palate but too harshly carbonated for a stout.

Solid but non descript. Hits all the notes you expect it to, without excelling at any. Nevertheless, good. B. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The best oatmeal stout I’ve tried to date! Very smooth and an excellent body to hold the deep chocolate/malty flavors in. Incredibly refreshing and has a wonderful chocolate/malt aroma. Great beer.

7.2% from Sugaya. 500 yen or so. Dark viscous pour with a brown head of foam. Notes of chocolate & a hint of coffee in the aroma. A solid flavor of roast coffee, chocolate and a slight bitterness and a touch of nuttiness in the finish/aftertaste. The oatmeal gave it a creamy full body. Quite good, an above average stout.

Tasty coffee aftertaste that stays there like chocolate. Beautiful black color. Very aromatic, can be used for beer aroma therapy. Balanced and 5 minutes later the flavor turns nutty. Great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
