Pours a very dark brown with a pillowy, sudsy, dark, grey-taupe head. Coffee, smoky, date, English bitter aromas. Underlying wetness with some light astringency overarching. Ripe, British fruitiness, a little smoky coffee, all well-blended. Very nice stout.

Bottle from Let’s Pour, pours a very thick charcoal black pour with a rather fast java dissipating head. Nose is sweet and sugary with coffee, chocolate and subtle licorice. Taste is sweet and full of flavor, with chocolate oatmeal flavoring predominating. Finish is dry, short and sweet. Nice sweet stout, drinks quite easily. Quaff Score 8 / 10

Nice example of the style. Probably one of my favorite beers fro Ninkasi. I would drink this again.

It’s got the chocolaty, coffee aroma, taste, and silky smoothness characteristic of an oatmeal stout, but lacks the complexity exhibited by the great ones. Good, not great.

Pours a deep black color with a tan foam head. Aroma of sweet malt with a smooth oatmeal flavor. Taste is silky, with a mild sweet flavor that I can’t pinpoint. Easy drinking for a stout, clean and refreshing. Good complex flavor throughout.

Enjoyed this one ! Pours real dark almost black. Aroma of malt, roasted coffee and oats. Tastes sweet with some chocolate notes. Forget the afternoon coffee and grab one !

STEVE! Bottle from Belmont Station (I think ....). Pours a very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has chocolate and cocoa and oatmeal. Taste is of bitter bakers chocolate, rich sweet caramel malts and sweet cocoa. Perhaps some oatmeal to smooth it out. Medium to full bodied. Fairly smooth and luscious. Nice choco-malty presence.
