Poured out of a bomber into a tulip glass. Black as night with a nice inch and a half of tan, big bubbled head. Smells of roasted malt and dark chocolate. Burnt malt dominates the flavor. The hops grab the tongue with just enough bitterness at the end. Light to medium body, light carbonation. Very drinkable. This is a good stout, solid taste and easy drinking. The only (slight) letdown is the body. A little creaminess or softness is what I expect in an oatmeal stout and it was not there.

Totally dark appearance with a large tan head and good lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Earthy, creamy flavors of dark chocolate, oatmeal bread and roasted malts. Faint floral hop presence in the aftertaste. Full bodied, modestly carbonated mouthfeel leading to a lingering finish.

Bottle from 802. Pours very dark brown with a beige mostly lasting small head that leaves scant lacing. Aroma is roasty malt and a slight moldiness. Medium to heavy sweet and light to medium bitter tastes, average to lively carbo, lots of dark roasted malt, cream and caramel flavor leading to a sticky sweet, lightly bitter finish.
