slightly cloudy light amber pour with massive head - aroma of malt and bread - nice toasted malt flavor with a really great hop flavor (now I know why they call them noble hops!)
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 vyvvy (3225) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - NOV 23, 2012
Thanks to gregwilsonstl for sharing this one. Pours light copper / orange with a small off white head. The aroma has pale malt, honey, milk caramel, some nectar fruitiness and is a bit mushy. The body is fairly light and crisp with mild sharp carbonation. The flavor begins with crackers, metallic traits, spice and heavy minerals. The finish is earthy, woody and medicinal.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 seymour (1099) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 3, 2012
Tasted from 12oz brown bottle into mini schooner glass. Thanks Greg. It poured a basic amber color with off-white foam. Subdued aroma but with a bery tart hoppy flavor, highly attenuated body and dry snap at the finish. Grainy, faint caramel and biscuit, but most malt sweetness was neutralized. Tanniny. Interesting, but not exactly my kinda thing. Probably better fresher.

A - Pours an almost clear amber-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of citrus, floral, and grassy hops with caramel and biscuit malts.
T - Starts out with a mix of citrus and grapefruit hops with some mild bitterness and some sweet caramel malts. Through the middle, some grassy and floral hops come through with some more bitterness and some biscuit malt. The finish is a mix of sweet caramel and bready malts with some grassy and citrus hops and some bitterness.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry and lightly bitter finish.
D - Very drinkable. Good hop profile with a good overall malt and hop balance.

Bottle from a random bodega in SF. A real nicely balanced session ale. Grassy hops blended with a sweet malty flavor, notes of cherry and citrus. Light moderate bodied.
