Draft at Indigo. Pours a grainy, murky black with a scant tan filmy head. Dark bitter chocolate nose. Creamy medium body, decent carb. Bitter chocolate mid palate with a mild roasty finish. Kind of a one trick pony.

A big bodied porter. A nice roasted flavor that is not too overpowering but quality. Carbonated a lot for a porter but still a quality brew.

Bottled. Dark brown with amber hues and a medium sized head. Light roasty, caramel nose. Light sweet, light roasty flavor, and a mildly hoppy finish. Medium body.

12 oz. Opaque chocolate with a small ring of bubbles.. Nose is charred coffee bean, light cocoa. Flavor is cocoa, coffee, and light berry. Medium body is chalky-dry, and a little too fizzy.

Nice enough, solid porter from the PNW. Roasted aromatics and palate. A hint of chocolate on the finish. Excellent price, but no idea what makes this special or seasonal.

Bottle. Black pour with off white head. Nutty and bittersweet chocolate aroma. Medium bodied, with some nut in the flavour. Roast and a little hop in the finish

Bottle... Poured a dense, near black with a thick, light brown head. Nose had some roast, and some hints of sulfur. Thin, drying body. Lots of roat here in the flavor. Reminded my of a dry stout. Dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, charcoal, a but nutty. More roasted malt in the finish. Mild bitterness with a hint of hops.

Three fingers off white head. Very dark color. Strong rich robust smell. Coffee overpowers the nose. Taste is a lot lighter than expected. Coffee bitterness and a bit tart. Decent, but nothing special.

Deep, dark, black-mid brown, slightly cloudy, amber-orange when backlit. thick, warm-tan head that is slight coarse and fades to a ring. Aroma is sweet oat, light caramel, pine, hint of maple and honey, hint of roots/sassafras. Body is medium-light, but with light, delicate carbonation and a somewhat sweet palate that gives the impression of a medium palate. Flavor is leaf and pine, light grain/woodiness. touch of light caramel sweetness (most of the caramel comes through the nose). Moderate earthy bitterness that lingers and defines the aftertaste. Nice porter, just what I wanted (actually, an imperial version of this would have been ideal, this is more of a spring porter, but for the non-porter drinker, I suppose it could be a proper January beer). RIP Sarah Burke, and please support an unregulated internet at all costs!

Thin malt body of lightly roasted chocolate and light grain. Dry with some light grass notes and a little pine. Bitter chocolate and some coffee as well.
