Seasonal Release Series. Spring forward with this refreshing seasonal ale. Notes of toasted malt up front with a bright and crisp Northwest hop finish. It’s a session beer that everyone can enjoy.

Like many Ninkasi beers, this is an ale more than a specific style, though we put it in the Northwest Pale category. A light toasted malt flavor is more reminiscent of a British Pale, but the hops are bright and very Northwest. Flavorful and easy to drink!

Bottle from Safeway in Milwaukie OR. Pours an almost clear orange / amber. Mild hoppy nose with malts smoothing the initial and palate tasting....pleasant....not sure about the session part...6% is a little heavy for a full evening...but guess everyone wants on the session wagon.

22 oz bottle served in a wine glass in Oregon (from summer 2014 notes). Excellent clarity and carbonation in an amber body. Crisp, near medium body. Flavor: This has the hop load and bitterness of an IPA. Overly bitter and piney aftertaste with lingering grapefruit peel. O: recommended for hop heads who favor piney hops and plenty of grapefruity bitterness.

"the brewer’s deScription above is pretty dead on. a pleasant enough pale ale...well balanced and quaffable...nothing special but the toasted malt is done well. smells a tad hoppier than it ended up being, though."

From notes: Poured from a bottle it is a cloudy golden color with a slight head. The aroma is citrus and it has a bitter flavor of citrus mainly oranges that lingers on the palate.

6% session beer, lol. Sure, if you’re a sumo. Golden-bronze colour. Toasty malt with a touch of apple. Berryish character, splash of bitterness and then there’s a dry, hoppy finish. Ok brew.

Barreras (1361) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - JUN 3, 2014
Pours a light copper color with a full floral bouquet of aroma. Taste is light, good amount of spruce, toasted malt, with a hop finish. Mild bitterness at the end of every swallow. Good complexity and very easy drinking, a nice seasonal beer that would be an everyday drinker during the summer.

Firm, dry and very refreshing. The bitterness is far from over the top but it cuts an excellent line through the palate with the dry herbal notes. Good season beer.
