3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear gold with a medium white head. Not much aroma, but sweet malts, crisp, thick mouthfeel, nice bitter aftertaste. Nice spring ale - almost a spring bock.

The Sampler, Brooklyn bottle: pours gold witha white head. Aroma is pine and some fruitiness. Taste is lightly bitter. Easy drinking. Pretty standard. Bitter aftertaste. Not blown away.

Served on tap at Linda's. Yellow gold color. Mostly clear. Light hippy aroma but not much there. Carbonated medium light body with a fizzy ending. Mild mix of hops and citrus with a weak hops ending. Nothing special.

Bottle (22oz $5): Golden with 2 finger white soapy head. Toasted malts was the first thing I tasted. Bitterness in the end was more than expected. Piney.

Rushed for time. Think Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Now imagine that beer being crisper, sharper, cleaner, and more refreshing. My favorite Ninkasi so far.

22 oz bottle was gift from Margaret, many thanks. Pours a clear bright orange golden color with white fading head. Aroma is mild citrusy good and toasted malt with a touch of oxidation. Flavor is same with light mandarin orange citrus sweetness, followed by a slightly iron rust finish. Would have been nice to try fresh.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear, bright, golden, orange, sunset body with a half inch of pure white head. Aromas of ripe citrus, cleaning solution. Harsh with chemical notes. Sweet malt with too present alcohol. Candy melon sweetness. No sir.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber at home. Pours a fairly hazy bright yellow, with a rapidly disappearing head and good adhesion. Herbal aroma, not too strong. Taste is pleasant, a little chewier than other hoppy pale ales -- they didnít cheapen on the grain bill -- itís a little stronger than most "session" pale ales, but thatís okay by me. Good palate, thicker than most, with long grassy aftertaste. Recommended.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A bit odd. Pours a bright golden yellow with a thin off white head, light lacing. The aroma is non-existant but a light grass note. Sweet caramel malts are light. Citrus hops, light pine needle, grass, floral notes. A bit monotone overall. Lingering bitterness despite only 38 IBUís. Seems a bit out of whack.

Nice APA from Ninkasi. Pours a hazy gold with a 2 finger foam head - respectable lacing so far. Very interesting balance between sweet floral hop flavours and bitterness. Very well balanced. Has a dry hoppy palate and is very drinkable. Yum!
