4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a clear gold with a moderate white head. Aroma of tropical fruits with just a hint of bread. Very well balanced, more so than most pils. Tasty. Really nice. Moderate body, easy to drink, not too high in alcohol (5.1%). This is a great summer beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled 12MAR13 (glad to see bottle dates on Ninkasi!!)
Itís a golden ale with a solid quilt of bone white foam. Nice, classic look. Smells of grain, corn, rice hulls, some herbal hops, some chalk, slightly sweet nose. Flavor is corn pops, some bitterness, a little wood and floral character and a good grainy base. Medium on full for the style with fine moderately low carb for the style. Overall Iím happy to drink this, if it were canned, Iíd take it to the lake probably. Easy drinker for sure.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
~Very fresh lemony aroma, floral with bready malts, coriander banana and honey. Wasnt expecting that. Refreshing.
~pours clear gold with big fluffy lasting white head.
~Honey bready flavor. Kind of like honey on cornbread with earthy hops.
~light fluffy mouthfeel, medium high CO2, lingering earthy hop finish.
~Wow. Quite impressed with this. Not like any other beer Iíve had that calls itself a Pils. Really enjoyable and considering I picked it up for 99 cents at Total Wine even better!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle:   Straw colored, moderate to large frothy white head, spotty lacing.   Semi-sweet grassy nose.   Smooth grassiness on the tongue, very clean, light sweetness.   Not grainy at all, soft grass and hay, or straw, but its very very clean.   Smooth.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Donít say that too often with Pilseners.   Clean finish, lingering grassiness.   Very simple, very clean, with light sweetness.   Nothing really off about this one.   Not a Pilsener fan, but this one was a well done local example!

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle from whole foods Portland - sterling indeed. This could well be the most enjoyable pils I have ever had. Really crisp clean and hoppy. Not quite as bitter than victory pils, the gold standard . More biting than Troegs pils. I could drink these a whole summer afternoon. It's so much harder to make a good pils than a great ipa, in my opinion, and this pils is quite good. Recommended.
