R&D Series. Total Crystalation is our dedication to hop harvest by brewing Total Domination using Fresh Hops. We brew the beer adding hops as normal for the first two additions. Instead of adding a final addition we run the wort through 960 lbs. of fresh picked Crystal in our mash tun. Super hoppy for super happy harvest times!

Bright orange with a slight haze, generous head and moderate lace. Strong citrus hops aromas, mostly orange peel and lemon. Gentle hops bitterness up front offset by a subtle caramel malt sweetness, accompanied by solid citrus notes. Medium body, creamy smooth mouthfeel and a nice crisp finish.

It’s always nice to have a new Ninkasi beer to drink. This one is an IPA completely alike to every other Ninkasi IPA.

Growler from the Growler Guys in Meridian... It has been on at a couple other places too. Pours clear orange with a short-lived white head.. Hops in the nose show as grassy with some melon notes... The hops don’t translate well to the palate, instead it has a pretty bruising bitterness with little complexity to stand up mid-palate.. Not my favorite, but not bad.. Just outside my wheelhouse.

Cloudy amber color with small creamy head. Fresh aroma, but delicate, the hops are less prominent than they could be. Lean mouthfeel with a slick, off-dry malt and caramel flavor; strong bitterness, the hop quality is expressed mostly through hop resins, but there is a light fruity component too. Well brewed, as usual.
Very nice.

Keg at the taproom, Eugene, 10/11/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white swirl. Nose is citric pith, light pine, straw, orange. Taste comprises orange pith, caramel malt, light mango strains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with sweet licks and a hoppy rinse. Ok IPA but nothing to get excited about.
