gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Feb 26, 2009 Bottle, courtesy someone. Copper brass pour, reddish, white head, thin lacing. Hoppy citrusy nose, some cottony dry elements. Some nice strong hops in the flavor, dry grainiy malts. Dry, crisp, not incredibly balanced but still very drinkable. killjoy966 (215), Washington, USA Feb 17, 2009 A classic West Coast IPA. Similar to Racer 5 but smells even better, like fresh hops. Palate get hit fairly strong, but not overly bitter (though my girlfriend disagrees). Could probably use a little more carbonation, but I think that was because of a sloppy pour. I only wish I made IPAs like this. jake65 (1658), Williston, North Dakota, USA Feb 10, 2009 Tap @ Dublin Pub: Deep copper pour with a nice sandy head. Great lacing. Aroma of florals and citrus. Strong. Tastes more light in the floral hops and heavier in citrus. Some caramel and even a light wheaty element. Nice. jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA Feb 8, 2009 Bright orange and cloudy with an average white head. Aroma is strong in grapefruit and floral hops. Taste is of a fresh grapefruit and hops. pantani (1895), Salinas, California, USA Jan 28, 2009 Amber with a thin white head. Aroma is a peach hoppiness, light pine, light caramel. Taste is a light fruity hoppiness, light alcohol, mild hoppiness. Very fruity. bitbucket (2026), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jan 17, 2009 Bomber. Pours lightly hazy copper with a lacy white head. Sweet grapefruit, mango, toffee, pineapple and grass aroma. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Sweet grapefruit, mango, nuts, peach taste. Nicely but not overly bitter finish. For whatever reason, this beer hits me just right. If I could brew an IPA like this, I might just stop buying IPAs. LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 1, 2009 A nice if not ordinary IPA. Aroma was so so. Citrus and earthy hops. Pour was a nice medium gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was a little thin with piney hops dominating and just a hint of caramel malt. Medium carbonation makes this beer, good but not anything to write home about. darbish (81), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 19, 2008 Smells grapefruity and a little like an orange. Smells very crisp as well. Cloudy pour. Tastes sweet and is quite astringent. Ends with a kind of woodsy, grassy flavor. Im pleased.
