2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle purchased from Bring On The Beer.
A- pours a clear bright 24k gold with a 2 finger head of foam, does well with the lacing.
S- strong piney nose mixed with that;s almost like a floor wax aroma. I can tell this is going to be bitter but in a good way or a bad way?
T- very piney bitter on first sip with no sign of any balancing malt. The more I sip, the more the pine off shoots to an aspirin bitterness. Again, no sign of any malt and that could have been a saving grace. Long lasting, on the nasty side, bitterness ensues. Oh my.
M- good body and carbonation so no complaints there.
O- Not at all an IPA that suits my fancy. Bitter for bitter’s sake? Me thinks so. No.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a moderately cloudy deep golden with definite amber highlights, thick and fluffy off-white head that stands for a long time like shaving cream. There’s a very straightforward hop aroma, grapefruit and lightly floral. Malt aroma is clean with a distinct addition of munich adding richness and toastiness to the nose. There’s a toasty note to the malt flavor and it comes across more robust than sweet. Hop bitterness is smooth and lingering, leaving a desirable aftertaste. Light fruity esters are evident, but not overpowering and definitely compliment the hops. This is a very good example of a Northwest American IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
STEVE! Thank you. Bottle from Belmont Station. Pours an unclear yellowish orange with a white head leaving some lacing. Aroma has citrus and pine, somewhat subtle, with some caramel. Taste is of sweet fruits, citrus and pine, with a solid caramel base. Medium bodied and sticky. Very nice balance with the sweetness from the hops AND malts, plus the citrus orange-y bitterness. Nice blend and good flavors. Definitely see the base of the Total Crystalization tap I had in Seattle.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy orange color with lots of carbonation the head is thick, about two fingers. Bitter aromas, little orange in the nose that mixes well with the earthiness component as well as the maltiness in the nose. Taste is decent very earthy and bitter especially on the back end. The taste does not do it for me. I don’t think it is the freshest bottle, but still i can’t put my taste buds on it, but something is off. This beer has decent drinkablity.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A - pour rich golden amber with 1 finger fluffy head that laces. S - aromas are musty dank resin, pine and sharp grapefruit. M - strong full body with a nice bitter palate. Hop forward but pretty balanced. T - bitter grassy and resinous hops toll to a citrus and caramel malt backbone. O - standard west coast ipa. Aggressive and heavy. Sharp malts to a strong malt finish. 3.1

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Solid tasty ipa that seems to be available everywhere in the northwest. Sharp pine hop bite but with plenty of body to back it up. Good stuff, not an elite ipa due to what i call "flat bitterness", where the bitterness that comes through is not complex but one dimensional and rather sharp. Still, thats much preferable to a watery-boring-weak-ass beer with no hops ( :
