2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle courtesy of schmoopsbeer. Served in a wine glass.
Pours a dark peach color and is slightly transparent. There is a white head that lasts for a bit and leaves some spotty lacing. The nose is light with just a bit of citrus hops and some light caramel. There is a bit of booze and bread in the background. The flavor brings mostly malt followed by some citrus hops and a slight amount of dry bitterness in the finish along with a surprising amount of alcohol given the ABV. Medium body and carbonation. Not bad, but not all that good either.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle from HuskyinPDX.
Pours a clear golden amber with a sticky beige head that shows fantastic lacing and retention. Gorgeous beer.
Light floral hops dominate the nose with lemongrass and faint pine notes with a bready malt sweetness underneath. Little bit of lit citrus but this is certainly not a juicy citrus beer in the nose.
Taste is even better than the aroma with a sticky resinous hop blast up front with some spiciness mixed in. The backbone is biscuity malts but they’re not meant to detract from the floral hops.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied and well carbonated though maybe a tad thin.
Really nice floral-dominant IPA that doesn’t scorch the palate with bitterness but still has plenty of hop flavors.

22 ounce bottle purchased at BevMo in Natomas, CA. I have no clue how old this is. Aroma is sweet with breaded malty aromas as well as some mild herbal hop notes. Not overly aromatic or reminiscent of an IPA. Blegh. Transparent golden-copper body with a pretty frothy yellowish head. Good lacing. Starts quite sweet and malty. Sugary and caramel malts present. Light toastiness in the middle. Finishes with earthy, herbal, moderate hop bitterness, which lingers pretty well. I have a feeling that this might be a little old, but that’s why they should date bottles. A little sweet.
