Total Domination IPA has a citrusy, floral hop aroma, and big hop flavor balanced with a richness imparted by Carahell and Munich malts. This beer is a big flavorful Northwest IPA that maintains its drinkability, and as such, has garnered great admiration from the novice craft drinker and the seasoned hop-head alike.

Bomber. Poured relatively clear medium golden with a short, sticky cap of white head. The aroma picked up juicy grapefruit and pineappley notes upfront with some spicy pine over softer pale and caramel malts.. solid character, but at a good, not great level. The flavor had pale and a little bit of honey malts on the back (sweet maltage overall).. bitterness was moderate-to-high in the form of grapefruit and floral character.. decently-balanced on the finish with spicy, fragrant bitterness and very sweet malts. Medium-ish bodied and sweet on the palate.. very drinkable.. lacking something, though.

bottle from New Seasons Market. Flat nose - barely a hint of hoppiness. Taste was balanced but weak. Disappointed after the tricerahops, which I think is much closer to total domination’s name.

Boring aroma. Cool orange color was most unique trademark of this beer. Taste not memorable.

A name like total domination brings a lot o fthings to mind, especially in conjunction with any kind of IPA. This beer doesn’t quite live up to the name. Nice citrus aroma is followed up by a good malt/hop balance in the flavor, but this is a relatively standard IPA. Good IPA, but not dominating.

Orange pour with creamy white head and lace. Light citrus aroma and sweet malt. Medium malt, apple, and citrus hops on the flavor. Medium bodied and foamy but a really nice drinkable beer to say the least.

Pours a crystal clear straw color with fluffy white head. Decent aroma but kind of hard to pin down, kind of a blend of lightly spicy and lightly fruity. Flavor much of the same, but just doesn’t marry as well as I think it could. Decent beer though.

@Pilsner Petes East Coast Gathering-22oz bottle–pours a disappearing white head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is pine/resin hops. Taste is pine/resin hops-some herbal, secondary light/medium malt. Thanks Goldtwins for sharing.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2012 Sampled from a fresher bottle. Pale golden pour with a fading white head. The nose is a little bit spicy and herbal. A touch of orange and some light pale malt. A touch of honey as well as some light fruitiness in it. Clean bitterness but quite assertive. It’s better than I gave it credit for the first time - but could use more aroma hops to really shine. Pale golden beer. Aroma is a bit chewy. Lightly fruity with some light berry fruitiness. Moderate bitterness. Soft fruity finish with a light sweet herbal backnote. It’s not a standout, but it’s not bad either. 7 4 7 4 14

Tap at Ushi-Tora. Huge, piney, citrus hop aroma. Very hoppy flavor with fruit and citrus, and a bit of salty sweat. Nicely balanced, with tons of aroma but not very bitter. Decent, but that odd sweatiness was weird.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2010 Nice head and lace. Amber-orange. Very fruity, with tangerine, grapefruit and lemon. Some toast in the malts, along with a perfect level of toffee-like sweetness. Lingering plant-like bitterness. Snappy, sharp and tasty.
