HopheadHans (753), Bay Area, California, USA Jul 4, 2009 Tap. Great balanced IPA. Nice aromas of ciitrus and pine with floral notes. Honey notes round out the bitterness in the finish Ughsmash (3983), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Jun 29, 2009 Bomber. Poured relatively clear medium golden with a short, sticky cap of white head. The aroma picked up juicy grapefruit and pineappley notes upfront with some spicy pine over softer pale and caramel malts.. solid character, but at a good, not great level. The flavor had pale and a little bit of honey malts on the back (sweet maltage overall).. bitterness was moderate-to-high in the form of grapefruit and floral character.. decently-balanced on the finish with spicy, fragrant bitterness and very sweet malts. Medium-ish bodied and sweet on the palate.. very drinkable.. lacking something, though. Hopcrazy (27), Washington, USA Jun 27, 2009 bottle from New Seasons Market. Flat nose - barely a hint of hoppiness. Taste was balanced but weak. Disappointed after the tricerahops, which I think is much closer to total domination’s name. hawk1 (12), Portland, Oregon, USA Jun 27, 2009 Boring aroma. Cool orange color was most unique trademark of this beer. Taste not memorable. KnN (715), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA Jun 25, 2009 A name like total domination brings a lot o fthings to mind, especially in conjunction with any kind of IPA. This beer doesn’t quite live up to the name. Nice citrus aroma is followed up by a good malt/hop balance in the flavor, but this is a relatively standard IPA. Good IPA, but not dominating. decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Jun 23, 2009 Orange pour with creamy white head and lace. Light citrus aroma and sweet malt. Medium malt, apple, and citrus hops on the flavor. Medium bodied and foamy but a really nice drinkable beer to say the least. highibus (421), Mill Creek, Washington, USA Jun 21, 2009 Pours a crystal clear straw color with fluffy white head. Decent aroma but kind of hard to pin down, kind of a blend of lightly spicy and lightly fruity. Flavor much of the same, but just doesn’t marry as well as I think it could. Decent beer though. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jun 19, 2009 @Pilsner Petes East Coast Gathering-22oz bottle–pours a disappearing white head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is pine/resin hops. Taste is pine/resin hops-some herbal, secondary light/medium malt. Thanks Goldtwins for sharing.
