markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Mar 8, 2009 Thanks sebletitje for the share. Pours hazy straw yellow with a nise white head. Nose is grapefruit, apricot, loquat, and sweet light fruit. Flavor is caramel, malt, lots of citrus hops, apricot, and sweetness. Finishes malty and sweet with a medium- light mouthfeel. Enjoyable. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Mar 6, 2009 On tap. Deep golden, slightly brown color, thin even white head. Aroma almost astringent – still some piney notes, some slight alcohol. Bitter start, yields to floral, astringent finish. Just OK, kind of harsh, but overall nice. aaronbr (49), Palo Alto, California, USA Mar 6, 2009 Poured foamy from a pitcher in the dimly lit Siskiyou Pub in Ashland, OR. Hazy appearance, from what I can see. Tastes really good, a great mix of bitter hops and fruity sweetness. I’m a fan. jgb9348 (2492), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Mar 4, 2009 Great lightly hazy golden orange coloured body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of fresh metallic hops, grass and very bitter malt - nice! Medium-bodied; Strong assertive piney and floral hops up front with a good, yet subtle malt backbone. Aftertaste shows a good hoppy taste, with pine and mostly perfume/flowers tucked in with a very mild alcohol flavour. Overall, a good beer - perhaps lacking enough hops, but the malt isn’t overpowering, and the flavours come out well. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Bottleworks in Seattle, Washington on 11-November-2008, sampled at home in Washington on 03-March-2009. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Mar 3, 2009 Courtesy of sea bass. Very cool, I can take this off my “wants” list thanks buddy. Pours brilliant gold with off white head. The aroma is grapefruit hops, floral hops, black tea and some sweet maltiness. The taste begins with a brief pulse of sweet malts and black tea that quickly get run down by a tasty combination of grapefruit hops, orange peel and pineapple. The hops keep a strong showing all the way to the finish with a pleasing combination of late addition hop flavor and hop bitterness to go along with a mild level of malty sweetness. kiefdog (1567), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 1, 2009 Bottle courtesy of sebletitje. Pours a generally clear amber color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of flowers, spice, honey and hints of malt. Flavor is sweet and floral with stronger malt notes and other flavors of spice, caramel, ripe fruit. Generally light to medium body with a crisp finish. sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Feb 28, 2009 courtesy of BA trade.
Pours clear copper with off white head.
Hoppy aroma with fresh notes of citrus
Taste, hoppy, very sweet for an IPA with nice fruity palate (possible white raisins and other tropical fruits) and lasting sweet sugary mouthfeel. Amazing IPA, not overly bitter. gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Feb 26, 2009 Bottle, courtesy someone. Copper brass pour, reddish, white head, thin lacing. Hoppy citrusy nose, some cottony dry elements. Some nice strong hops in the flavor, dry grainiy malts. Dry, crisp, not incredibly balanced but still very drinkable.
