Flagship Series. Total Domination IPA has a citrusy, floral hop aroma, and big hop flavor balanced with a richness imparted by Carahell and Munich malts. This beer is a big flavorful Northwest IPA that maintains its drinkability, and as such, has garnered great admiration from the novice craft drinker and the seasoned hop-head alike.

The aroma is rather lovely smelling of grassy fields and flowers. The palate was completely lacking for me. There was very little carbonation despite the head holding for a while and the mouth feel was just like water. There is a slight flavor of mango at the beginning but that gets completely lost in the blind bitterness later. The bitter flavor is piney and resiny. The beer does look great in a glass being a nice shade of light amber with a slight haze and the head created a fine lace and gave over lots of aroma.

appearance: clear deep golden amber, frothy-to-creamy near-white head, decent lacing. aroma: pine, grapefruit, caramel, golden grahams. taste: caramel, cereal, and honey malts, blast of orange, apricot, grapefruit, and floral hops. finish: dry, lingering piney bitterness, hint of chewy caramel malts last just a bit too. notes: Quintessential example of the PacNW IPA. Good palate. Growler fill from Roots, courtesy of Troy.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tulip glass. The head is a heavenly pillow of clean, white, creamy bubbles. The color is a cloudy vibrant orange. The nose opens aromas of orange peel and blossoming floral. The flavor comes off a little biscuity with a citrus kick in the middle. The finish is a sappy pine that is long and dry.

Appearance: Hazy bright amber. Full finger of tan smaller bubbles. Nose: Bigger hops up front. Pine, grapefruit, green grass. Hints of sweetness Taste: Sweet malt balanced with some hop forward pine and citrus classic IPA bitterness. Body: Medium and restrained carbonation Parting thoughts: A very decent by the numbers IPA. Excellent execution of the style

12-ounce bottles in a pint glass. Why do I keep trying out IPAs when I donít like them? Maybe because it seems like thatís all most craft breweries make. Also, sometimes I am pleasantly surprised. In this case, its not my favorite, but it is a little less bitter than most in its style I have tried. Great aroma typical of an IPA, good alcohol content.

Aroma of fresh hops and malt with fruity citrus notes. Clear golden liquid with a white head. Medium sweetness followed by a relatively long lasting medium bitterness. Average carbonation and medium body. Fine IPA!

Visual: Part of a 4-pack, mixed bombers. Pours translucent golden orange with a tiny head, a bit of lacing, loose clusters of active streams. Nose: toasty toffee citrusy hopped malts. (lvl-7)-pungency Attack: light slick/thicker viscosity, smooth-crisp entry Mid-palate: slightly creamy, (lvl-6-sweetness), citrusy-biscuity-resin, toffee barley malt Finish: med sharp bitter hops, lingering malts, mellow clean finish. Summary: Smooth and well-bodied IPA with all around pleasant balanced flavours. IPAs of this caliber make me a fan of the style. Delicious creamy mouthfeel.

July 21st, 2014 - Ninkasiís Total Domination is a well received brew down here in San Diego, where its robust IBU and hop forward flavor jive with our lupulin-centric culture. More orange than amber, itís a bright beer, bristling with energy, and delivering a sweet aroma. Pine resin, freshly cut wood, graham crackers and peach esters take me back to picnics in Pacific Northwest woods. The palate is flatter, but the beer has been sitting out for an unusually long amount of time. Each sip delivers a low, sweet, smooth IPA taste, pushing more pine with each intake, and the vapors expressing more of their heavy hop accent. The long aftertaste cuts off the hop bitterness and emphasizes the sweet pine syrup, cooling it with a deeper molasses sugar, and a touch of spice. P.S. Enjoyed on an airplane flight to Monterey, so atmospheric effects might warp tasting notes.
