badgerben (2990), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Apr 3, 2008 American Beer #2000: Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Hazy gold color with no head. Light aroma of grapefruit. Taste is somewhat grainy. The hop hit is definitely piney. A solid regular IPA.
trevor211 (69), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 2, 2008 A good all-around IPA, and possibly the best pairing I could possibly imagine with pizza. Faint notes in the aroma reminded me of red sauce and pepperoni. Most of the smell, though, is powerful citrus hops, with only a light backing of light, sweet malts. It poured a light honey-amber with a good thick head, and had a very smooth mouthfeel, and while the flavor was intriguing (powerful citrus hops abound), it was overwhelmed by a resiny quality that really started to become annoying by the end of the glass - the kind that sticks at the back of your throat. Reid (980), Salem, Oregon, USA Jun 16, 2008 Dark burnt orange coloured ale, slightly hazy. With a pure white head.
Strong piney hop aromas, good malts in the back.
A very "soft" IPA strong semi-sweet malts then a rolling piney hop bitterness..just flows.
Good on the palte, "soft" and just rolls around the tongue.
Good IPA. drfabulous (623), Columbia, Missouri, USA Jun 15, 2008 Thanks to the wife! Clean and hoppy taste. Strong citrus. Very nice. First Ninkasi and well worth the wait. wickedpete (514), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA Jun 15, 2008 Thanks to Mike for this one. Light amber body. Aroma has strong hops, honey, and lemon. Flavor has a strong dry bitter, and honey. Body is light but not watery. The_Epeeist (872), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 14, 2008 22 oz bottle. Hazy brown orange with a frothy white head. Nose is orange, dough, pith and malt. Crisp with a nice carb bite. Taste is lemon, orange and then grapefruit and some soap. A little caramel, a little dry. Good one.
