Flagship Series. Total Domination IPA has a citrusy, floral hop aroma, and big hop flavor balanced with a richness imparted by Carahell and Munich malts. This beer is a big flavorful Northwest IPA that maintains its drinkability, and as such, has garnered great admiration from the novice craft drinker and the seasoned hop-head alike.

Light floral, spicy, citrus hops grace the nose over sweet malts. Hazy golden body is topped by a foamy, large bubbled, off-white head that reduces rapid;y to a thin partial cover with no lace. Quite sweet up front with light earthy, citrus, spicy and floral hop notes. Fairly pronounced bitterness in the back takes over from the initial sweet malts. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Somehow the elements don’t really seem to gel for me on this one. Tulip glass. Fridge temperature. Bottle purchased at Brewery Creek in March 2013.

On a scale of yuk to yum this one score only very moderately interesting on my taste buds. I cannot understand the high ratings it gets.

Pours cloudy orange without much head. The aroma is citrus, a little bit of popcorn, some floral notes. The flavor is a little too acerbic. Bitter, but in a vaguely metallic way. Got a little better as it warmed.

The previous "go to" beer. No longer the go to beer but not the worst. Not a bad pallet. Fair bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from the store. massive white head, Amber color, clear. No idea obviously how old it is but not much hoppy notes left in the aroma. Bit grassy, bit piney, bit fruit, very malty. But except that there is some spicy, almost funky note, which makes it nice. Same thing in taste. Except that not only spicy notes are making the taste so nice but also the bitterness, which is on rather high level. My beer was 81ibu version. Very nice example of west coast IPA. Very dry. It’s rather nice.

Draught @ PDX Airport, Portland, OR. Pours orange with a smooth head. Aroma of caramely malts, pine, grass and resin. Taste is crisp, resinous and bitter with some herbal notes. Finish is spicy, bitter and herbal with some malts and grass. A bit strange hop profile here.

Bottle. Pours a reasonably cloudy golden copper with miniature white head and minimal lacing. Has weak scents of green olive and hops, unimpressive aroma and appearance. Taste is hoppy citrus, fairly well balanced, perhaps a touch over-hopped but still tasty. Good level of bitterness and enjoyable aftertaste. Slightly above average.

Pours a deep dark orangish amber color. Aromas of big hop action, sweet malts, and more hops. Flavor has some caramel malty tastes with nice grapefruit and floral hop taste.

On tap @ Safeco Field. Can’t believe I’ve never rated this! Pours muted orange copper, slightly less than clear, thin white head that fades quickly. Aroma is lightly toasted caramel malt, light grassy hops. Taste is smooth rich sweet roasted caramel malt, piney herbal hops. Rich clean hop flavor lingers on the finish. Well-balanced, fairly traditional IPA. Not sure this has been around long enough to be a classic, but it’s in range.

So important on ipa beers to put a bottled on date it shows they care! This was a malt bomb. The hops were dead in this one. These guys and others like hop valley need to bottle on date so we don’t waste are money buying old beer!
