tjthresh (1749), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Oct 5, 2008 22 ounce bottle. Pours a dense hazy copper with a resinous off white head. Rich, robust hop aroma of pine cleaner and candies grapefruit. Flavor is full of pine and citrus peal flavors. Aggressive lingering bitterness. A little bit of malt for balance. Medium body with pleasant carbonation. Balanced finish at first, but then the bitterness comes back for an encore. Really good. Sure to please most hopheads. SuzyGreenberg (1318), Seattle, Washington, USA Oct 2, 2008 draft @ uber - another good one from ninkasi; clear orange with frothy white head; sticky, grassy hops; on the sweet side and only bitter at the end; strength is obvious and body on the thin side; pretty nice overall luttonm (275), Belgrade, Serbia Sep 29, 2008 Pint at Brouwer’s Hopfest. Perfect balance of floral and piney hops. smooth like Pliny but not as incredible. Deep amber color with touch of something like cough syrup at the end (in the best of ways!). Lovely. caesar (3020), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Sep 6, 2008 Bottled from NoiZe. Cloudy orange color, short head. Flowery aroma, hoppy. Not the bitterness I expected. Very soft. Nice balance though, but again very soft. NoiZe (1289), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands Aug 28, 2008 Brought this one back from the States. Amber, orange colored brew. Very hoppy, floral aroma. Sweet, smooth well balanced hoppiness and floral notes. Nice one. IndianaRed (1553), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 26, 2008 Hazy orange amber viscous pour. Small thin white head with a notice ablly modest carbonation. Modest sweet malty carmel and pine aroma. Lots of IBUs and a noticeable ABV bite. Decent hoppy flavor but not the fresh west coast bite of my favorites of the style. Full bodied and slick. Soft carbonation BückDich (4793), McCall, Idaho, USA Aug 26, 2008 Bottle: Pours a copper caramel color with light sticky head and nice lacing. The nose is very hoppy with lots of citrus and grapefruit, subtle orange and pommello. The flavor is sweet and resinous with a light enough body that it’s still in the IPA mouthfeel but ample hops in the nose and sweet dry hopped notes in the flavor. Finishes plenty hoppy and has an overall clean and resinous tail. Nice! fakepurseninja (773), Washington, USA Aug 26, 2008 As good a looking as there has ever been. Roasty light sweet caramel malt backbone with hints of light toffee. Bready and grainy but with a very mild nuttiness as well. Hops are very floral with moderate citrus.and light pine. I would hesitate calling this a Double IPA, more like a 1.5X IPA. Still a fantastic drink
