Tricerahops is double everything you already love in an IPA. More hops, more malt body and a higher gravity define this Double India Pale Ale. Fiercely flavorful, guaranteed to satisfy.

Struck me as a ’malty’ rather than a ’hoppy’ double IPA. Either way, the body of this brew totally buries it’s strength - but in a sweet rather than bitter way.

Bomber. Good citrus hop aroma with notes of tropical fruit. Pours clear amber with a large, soapy off white head with good retention and some lacing. Good citrus and tropical fruit hop flavor to start. Finishes dry with some pine resiny hop bitterness. Good IPA.

Deep gold color with a dense, white frothy head. Nice citrus aroma. Earthy citrusy hop flavors with a full bodied, malty back drop. Nice DIPA!

Pours a clear Golden honey color with a thick off white head. Aroma has nice grapefruit, citrus rind and herbal/grassy notes...great lacing and retention. Flavor is more toward the herbal/grassy side...bitter and earthy with a hint of scallion and some underlying honeydew. Mouthfeel is light and silky with a dry and clean herbal/earthy/rindy finish.

Bomber. Pour: clear copper amber with a pillowy off white head. Aroma: sweet stone fruit and citrus and malt. Taste: caramel, pineapple citrus and straw; there’s a smooth creaminess which fades to a dry slightly bitter feel on the palate. A nice drinker!

Saw this a few times at my local shell station. Finally picked one up after seeing the ratebeer rating used as a selling point. Pours amber in color with about half an inch of white head. Tastes of malt and carmel with a short booze finish. Somewhat creamier mouthfeel than most double IPAs. Not a bad beer at all.

Bottle. Go Ravens. Nice rustic visuals, deep amber, solid head retention. Thickly malty, the slightly higher alcohol is evident in a little bit of a burn. But easy to drink, and relatively easy going overall. (#5913, 1/3/2014)

12oz bottle. Pours clear honey colored. Aroma of pineapple, grass, citrus, and a touch of caramel. Flavor of citrus, mango, pineapple, pine, caramel. A robust hop monster with a subtle sweetness.

Pours dark copper amber, foamy white head, lots of lacing. Aroma is resinous, with hints of toffee and caramel. Taste is bitter, nutty, toffee and caramel, some resin. Finishes crisp, slightly bitter, short and abrupt. Medium body, foamy mouthfeel. Quite nice.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), lightly hoppy (grapefruit, apricot). Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Almost no aroma whatsoever, which is very odd for the style...perhaps an old sample, but these just started showing up in Colorado recently so they *should* be pretty fresh (alas, no bottle dates). Decent flavor balance and mouthfeel, though.
