Tricerahops is double everything you already love in an IPA. More hops, more malt body and a higher gravity define this Double India Pale Ale. Fiercely flavorful, guaranteed to satisfy.

12oz bottle. Pours clear honey colored. Aroma of pineapple, grass, citrus, and a touch of caramel. Flavor of citrus, mango, pineapple, pine, caramel. A robust hop monster with a subtle sweetness.

Pours dark copper amber, foamy white head, lots of lacing. Aroma is resinous, with hints of toffee and caramel. Taste is bitter, nutty, toffee and caramel, some resin. Finishes crisp, slightly bitter, short and abrupt. Medium body, foamy mouthfeel. Quite nice.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), lightly hoppy (grapefruit, apricot). Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Almost no aroma whatsoever, which is very odd for the style...perhaps an old sample, but these just started showing up in Colorado recently so they *should* be pretty fresh (alas, no bottle dates). Decent flavor balance and mouthfeel, though.

Draft at Moriartys. Clear orange amber pour that starts with a slim solid layer of off-white foam that mostly disappears, leaving only some wet lace. Sticky body. Thick, heavy caramel malts balanced against high-puckering earthy bitter citrus hops. Unripe oranges. Pinecones dipped in wildflower honey. Candied mushrooms. Pineapple cores. Turpentine marmalade. Feels stronger than the listed 8.8% ABV. Good but harsh.

Light aroma with a clear dark orange color. Very smooth start and finish on this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pours almost clear orange with one finger white head. Aroma dominated by pine and earthy hops. Taste with initial malts followed quickly by the pine/earth/floral hops. hoppy finish. Thick mildly slick palate, perfect for the style.

At first the hops were overwhelming. The hops added much more bittering than they did flavor. After a while your taste buds get saturated and the other qualities of the beer come out. Basically this is a huge bittering hop bomb.

12 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy orange copper with a medium creamy off white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet bready malts with some floral piney hops.

The flavor is sweet bready malts with big piney, resiny, tarry hops with a harsh bitterness in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a big bitter hop bomb. I remember it being less harsh and more fruity on tap.

Pours slightly hazy pale amber with two fingers of light tan head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Nose is zesty citrus and resiny pine, light caramel malt and some light floral. (4/10) Taste is moderate sweet, strong bitter. (8/10) Medium body, moderate to low carbonation, lingering bitter finish. (4/5) Nice double IPA. Bright and citrusy, big hop bomb. Marginally hop forward, with decent caramel malt supporting. Hardly a memorable DIPA, but certainly passable. (16/20)

Good overall beer. More malt than hop kick but love the color and flavor. Glad to have this in my fridge

On tap at the Tap and Mallet. Dominated by the C hops. Really big tangerine nose. Palate was similar, though well balanced by some maltiness. Lots of people ordering this one. Anne said it was one of best ever.
