Nice deep, piney aroma. Pours golden and fairly clear. A bit bitter on the aftertaste. My attitude towards his beer declined a bit from smell to swallow. Still pretty darn good.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from a local Deli in SF, February 2014.
Almost clear dark orange with a small white head. Aroma and taste of hops, caramel, malt, pine and grapefruit. Not a bad one but not as hoppy as expected.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Mango tangerine aroma with hints grass and grain. Malty sweet flavor with a mild hop bitterness. Very easy drinking DIPA, an unusual balance for the style but it works pretty well. Overall it’s not a DIPA that I wouldn’t seek out and leaves me wanting something more exciting every time I have it.

On tap at Brooklyn. Big, welcome hop aroma: mango, florals, bright green pine. Solid malt background. Stealthy smooth.

4.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Aroma is very floral and the head and clarity are perfect for a double ipa. Taste is great grapefruit notes and honey. Finish is very balanced and not harsh like other double ipas. Overall its one of the best double ipas i have had.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle - Pours hazy orange with a small off-white head. It has a big, citrus hop aroma that’s especially heavy on the grapefruit. The flavor is full of grapefruit accented hops bitterness. The malt backbone lends it a big, full body and strong bitterness lingers long in the finish. Really good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from bottle to glass. Hazy orange hue with white head. Aroma is malt, citrus, melon, papaya, tangerine, hay, sugar. Mouthfeel is nice with full body and average carbonation. Taste is sweet throughout with nice hop bitterness following and slight CO2 sharpness in the finish. Overall, this is a great I2PA. It is full bodied and has great hop characteristic, not just the bitterness. Suffers from chill haze, though.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at GBBF 2013, Day 3 - London. Pours clear, deep gold with a modest, white cream topping. The nose is ripe citrus, alcohol and bread. Moderately sweet with notable booze, bread, orange, marmalade and mild pine needles. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly warming to finish with some astringency, pine, leaves, citrus. So so.

This beers sweet and malty aroma is matched by the sweet hoppy finish. This one of the best IPA’s I’ve ever had.
