3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear copper with a medium beige head, fine lacing, moderate retention. Aromas of pine resin, grass, caramel, grapefruit, biscuit, and a hint of tropical fruit. Full body, velvety, dry. Mildly sweet, strong bitter lingering finish. Big and bold, and a good representation of the style.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Mayor. Appearance: finger white head that lasts as a film, golden color, clear, good lacing. Aroma: grapefruit, caramel. Palate: medium body, average carbonation, sticky texture, dry. Taste: sweet caramel into floral and grapefruit bitterness, finish has some light metallic bitterness to it. Overall, really smooth, love the balance. Even though the metallic taste is intended likely, it is a bit off-putting for me.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
651 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, ivory head, over a medium amber (SRM 11) particle laden body....nose is pine, resin, citrus peel, light cereal, toffee/caramel, balance to the hops, no esters.....taste is moderately sweet, with toffee/caramel dominating, citrus peel, pine, resin from the hops, light cereal, finishing with a moderate hop bitterness, no esters, balance to the hops......mouth feel, medium body, sticky, light alcohol, slight astringency, carbonation makes a slightly creamy sensation. This is a quite typical I/DIPA. It has the right balance, with the malts just barely off setting the hop backbone with nice hop presence. The appearance was most likely a result of bad storage. 4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, poured into glass. Beautiful golden amber color. Floral and malty nose. Taste is heavy on the malt, strong floral and caramel notes, and a hint of hops...but just a hint. No trace of alcohol, extremely smooth. Mouthfeel lightly oily but not oppressive. I’d personally prefer if there were more hops in the taste (the name IS "tricerahops" after all) but this is a very nice DIPA on the whole.
