Bottle: The aroma consists of caramel, oranges, apricots, light citrus hops, and a touch of herbal hops. It pours a mostly transparent dark amber with just a touch of haze and a large creamy head that has great retention and lacing...quite an impressive looking beer. The flavor starts with a moderate combination of caramel and tropical fruits. The finish has moderate piney and grapefruit hops and a touch of sweet citrus notes.

I first had this beer at a restaurent in Pullman, WA. When I learned that this was a ninkasi beer it further boosted their rep for me

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours one of the most cloudy beers I’ve seen this side of a Hefe.... Rather dark amber with some golden edges in the light.
Aroma was slight pine hops, some malt in there,
[couldn’t find a date stamp, this may have been a little old]
Pretty nice big double IPA bite up front, malt backing. Pretty good balance, not bad,
Especially when you factor in the price. Probably the cheapest DIPA out there right now...
I’d get this again, not the best DIPA, but not bad at all, and at under 4 bucks, quite a deal.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber bought at quirky grocery store in northwest Washington as I headed up to Vancouver and Whistler on vacation ($5.49). Pours into short hotel glass a murky orange with some red tones and only a thin layer of off-white foam. Aroma of sweet hops (tropical fruit, citrus, resin) with a hint of malt character. Fruity hops dominate the flavor as well with possibly the strongest flavor of pineapple I have encountered in an IPA/DIPA. Other flavors include more tropical fruit (possibly mango), orange, and grapefruit.
It is generally sweet with a fresh grapefruit type of mild bitterness that forms a nice counterbalance. My first Ninkasi rating -- glad I got to try this one. (259, 353)
