3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle purchased from Liquid Solutions.
Appearance: Fairly standard honey orange with decent clarity, a big off white head, lots of retention and LOADS of lacing!
Smell: Wet grass, floral hops, honey, and a touch of citrus hops.
Taste: A delicious DIPA that seems more like a "Big IPA" to me. Hops are very present but not as extremely aggressive as other DIPA’s. A good dose of sugar and a low malt profile keep this brew all about the hops.
Mouthfeel: A touch thin and crisp for a DIPA but a nice amount of carbonation is very pleasant.
Drinkability: Good for an 8.8 % ABV
This has been my 3rd Ninkasi offering I’ve tried and my favorite yet.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bought at bevmo last week but no other freshness info. 22oz bomber poured into a tulip. Good inch and a half of frothy head with very nice lacing and above average retention. Color is a cloudy orange-amber. Sweet, biscuity malt and mild, fresh hops on the nose. Rich and full bodied. Syrupy without much carbonation leaving room for improvement in the mouthfeel and drinkability departments. The malt definitely slows the onset of the hops but they come through with a fury. Very bitter and resiny but also light and fresh. I like how the malt comes through first and you are left with the hops to enjoy. Overall very good effort, especially for the price.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tap @ Kahootz: Clear copper color with no head. Aroma of green hops, mildly floral. The doggone brew is just full of agricultural delight! I noticed flavors of licorice, grapefruit and a little hairspray and metal in the finish, but just a little. I liked this and thought that it was a little different than other 2 IPAs in that it wasn’t super sweet and thick but still enjoyable.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at The Taphouse, pours hazy golden. Aroma of hops, toffee and floral notes. Not as heavily hop pronounced as many other IIPAs - flavour of restrained hops, pine and toffee. Still quite good.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber purchased at BevMo Long Beach.
Aroma is full of hop citrus and pine. Pours a nice orange with a foamy cream head that laces nicely. Taste is intensely hoppy but with a nice maltiness underneath. Feels slightly syrupy. Overall a solid and enjoyable double IPA.

Pours copper with a thin beige head and a floral toffee aroma. There is a substantial caramel malt flavor that is heavily bittered with hops. Very citrus and pine.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A: The pour is amber in color with a thin white head and some rings of lacing.
S: The nose is pine all the way with a bit of earth, mild citrus, and some sweet caramel malt.
T: The flavor is a bit sweet, especially considering the nose. A lot of caramel and bready malts with some piney hops and a sharp bitterness.
M: The body is medium with a lower level of carbonation that lends the beer a bit of a syrupy feel.
D: A nice sharp bitterness to the beer, but not all that much going on. And despite the high amounts of pine, it’s still on the sweet side.

From a bottle. This is a phenomenal double IPA if you like a nice hoppy-pine bitter finish. An excellent beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The aroma is caramel, earth, sweatsock. The appearance is a clear amber white head. The flavor is caramel, citrus, and a floral flavor I didn’t get in the aroma. The finish is a resiny hop bittering. Medium/thick in body. Good IIPA.
