Flagship Series. Tricerahops is double everything you already love in an IPA. More hops, more malt body and a higher gravity define this Double India Pale Ale. Fiercely flavorful, guaranteed to satisfy.

A bomber from Perry’s Liquor’s in a tulip. Clear, bright, amber/orange, off-white head. Smells faintly of pineapple, citrus, hops, pine. Love the smell. Tastes of grapefruit, hops, pine tree, sweet malt. Medium body, light carbonation. Dry, bitter aftertaste for a few seconds. That said, pretty light and refreshing for an 8.8%. Other than the aftertaste, easy to drink and subtle flavors.

Tasted from draft. Pours a clear amber. Aroma is caramel, pine, floral. Taste is well balanced with good malt backbone. Flavors of caramel, toffee, pine, resin, floral and a little citrus. Overall an above average to very good double IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Dark hazy golden with lacy white head. Light tropical aroma. Lots of bitterness up front. Medium malt character wth hints of biscuityness. Tropical hop; mango grapefruit and melon. Bitter piney orange rind finish. Excellent hard core DIPA.

Bottle. I have had this beer a few times, thought I’d rated it. Anyway I like it pretty decently. this go round I’ve had it after a super grapefruity and dry IPA so it’s a little malty, but I don’t usually think it’s too malty when I drink it on its own.

July 18th, 2014 - The Triceratops, the best hops pun named beer I’ve ever heard (though I am a child of the 80’s, when dinosaurs were all the rage, alongside ninja turtles) is a delicate beer, despite the rumbling, roaring name. The aroma out of the taster snifter is muted, but I do catch a little pineapple. More frenzied sniffing reveals some pineapple and mashed apple, too, with a light hop character to wrap the fruits in. But the flavor is considerably sweeter, amplifying the fruits found in the nose, which start to outstrip the hop cones. It’s fine drinking, but the hops is just a touch subdued. I think I need to try a full 16 oz. pour to give this one the attention it deserves.

[Dec 24 2015] Happey Valley Supermarket in Portland OR. Light amber body with big head. Nose is hops and hops and some malty notes. Taste is bitter, and hops and punchy. Bitter in the finish.

Pours hazy orange, the brief head is gone very quickly. The aroma is really good. Citrus, specifically pineapple, mingle with a really rich smelling, buttery, sweet malt. The flavor is strong and complex. Rich malt, sweet candied fruit notes (but not too sweet), and then a big blast of hops on the finish. Tasty.

Pours a hazy orange with minimal head. Aroma is very dank. Lots of tropical and citrus fruits. Flavor is dry and bitter. Very fruity. Slightly sweet. Nice balance. Very appealing beer.

Dimmig bärnstensfärgad öl med ett vitt skum. Doften är ganska söt med framförallt kola. Även viss fruktighet och maltighet. I smaken tillkommer lättare grapefukts och tallbarrstoner. Möjligen något trött flaska.

16oz pour in The Signature Sports Bar, Laguna Niguel on 12th May 2016. Murky dull orange in colour, wispy white head. Tropical fruits in the nose, hoppy taste over a decent semi-sweet malty base. Nice easy drinking beer with the alcohol content sitting neatly within the flavours and palate.
