| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 3, 2009 A very good IIPA courtesy of Mr. Stitch. Aroma and taste were very good. All hops with a malty backbone that doesn’t try to be equal. Pour was a medium gold with lots of bubbles and a one finger off white head. Taste was mostly bitter grapefruit hops with some thin earthiness and a dry aftertaste. Decent carbonation and very drinkable for a 9% beer. rmussman (906), California, USA

A fair amount of head and sedementation. Big hops on this one and sweet aftertaste. Well worth a try. Beerlando (2361), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 22, 2009 Bomber. Pours a dark and lightly hazy burnt-orange amber hue. A small, bubbly, frothy head settles in to a thick edge that leads up to a dense, three dimensional coat of layered, cobweb like lacing. The nose is quite hoppy, showing notes of pine resin and citrus, yet well balanced by a sweet toffee and grain malt profile, along with a touch of honey. Flavors largely follow suit, bitter from the sticky pine and sharp, pithy orange and grapefruit hops. Notes of toffee and toasted bread malt are there, but don’t quite match the sweetness that they impart in the nose, which is a good thing. Still, it’s mainly a balanced IIPA. The palate is big, moderately carbonated, initially smooth and then finishing of the dry, bitter side. Overall, this is a fine example of the style that’s void of many flaws, though it fails to excite. gunhaver (1044), Tampa, Florida, USA
