riversideAK (1468), Shoreline, Washington, USA May 4, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange brown with a thin head. Aroma of pale malts, caramel malts, and floral and piney hops. The flavor has these notes as well with a moderate malty body, lots of malts, but not a lot of sweetness to be specific, and a piney floral finish. Not big bitterness, but more toward the moderate side. Pretty drinkable, alcohol was almost unnoticeable. It was just not what I really look for in an IIPA, but well done nonetheless.
Ungstrup (10863), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 26, 2008 Draft. An amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet and very hoppy giving it strong notes of grass as well as lighter notes of grapefruit. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of citrus, hops, and grass. It is slightly acidic from the hops too, which makes it very refreshing. jjpm74 (2760), Connecticut, USA Jul 21, 2008 Pours caramel with a white head. Smells earthy with a floral nose. Tastes bitter with a weird artificial cleaner finish. boFNjackson (483), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 18, 2008 PIB, tap... Poured orange with a white head. Really citrus (like candy sweet) hop aroma. Chilling palate that’s well in carbonation. Flavors of hops and sweet citrus and some cracker-malt. Finishes smooth. These guys make great IPAs. robforbes (644), Bremerton, Washington, USA Jul 18, 2008 pours a milky amber-orange with a small egg-shell head, good lacing.
