COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A delicious Oatmeal Stout with just enough hops to balance the copious quantities of dark roasted malts, oatmeal for a creamy smooth drinkability, and whole vanilla beans for a rich complexity.

Bomber thanks to Emily. Appearance: finger tan head that does not last but as a film, dark brown, opaque, good lacing. Aroma: chocolate, coffee, light vanilla, light licorice. Palate: full body, soft carbonation, alcohol finish, oily texture. Taste: sweet chocolate with licorice undertones and vanilla present as well, into coffee that goes bitter, with vanilla still lasting underneath. Super smooth, very enjoyable, slightly cloying with the vanilla.

Black pour, foamy tan head. Aroma of cocoa, fudge, vanilla, flavor of vanilla, brownie, fudge, dates, with a roasty coffee finish and light notes of citrus and metal. Full, sticky body.

Sweet aroma with a slight hint of roasted malt. Strong flavor of vanilla that mixes well with the roasted malt flavor. Very smooth on the tongue and a slight coffee flavor that lingers.

This brew pours a brownish-black color with a medium khaki head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, vanilla and chocolate. Medium-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, espresso and vanilla. Touches of hops in the background. The finish is vanilla coffee and chocolate malt. Above average overall.

Great creamy head. Rich bitter roasty aroma with chocolate, coffee and a wishful hint of vanilla. Love the big bold stout, slight creamy body and smooth roasted elements.Needs more vanilla.

Bottle to pint glass Lots of vanilla, chocolate, oats, lightly roasted malt, and a hint of blackberry. Dark brown/black with a somewhat mottled thin dark tan head with pretty good retention. Taste is chocolate with muted vanilla, given the broad vanilla aroma. There’s oatmeal, perhaps a hint of maple and plenty of toasted malts. Throughout there’s a nice balancing bitterness. I’m always drawn in to interesting sounding beers like vanilla stouts, but rarely will I be blown away by one. This is a solid beer, but for me, the vanilla is just an accent on what it probably a perfectly good stout.

Fairly opaque, medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Fairly one dimensional but pleasing nose of vanilla. Nice dark malts, vanilla, lightly sweet finish. Tasty.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of big cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee into a bit of vanilla, dark fruit in there. Taste is a mix of lactose, oats, nice vanilla into dark coffee, roasted malt into a hint of cocoa, finishing slight bitter, dry. Nice, not overly sweet which works well.

Dark brown. Vanilla, sweet light chocolate. Sweet, thick chocolate, lots of vanilla but that sweetness clashes with the bitterness, of which there also is in the finish.

Ninkasi never disappoints. Very smooth on the palate with a nice aroma of vanilla and caramel. Appearance has a light head with good retention. Like coffee flavor with hints of vanilla.
