Dark brown almost cherry pour. Decent head. Dark malt aroma with licorice. Flavor starts off as more of a stout but finishes with wheat characteristics.

Pours jet black into a goblet. Fast disappearing head with no lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee with a little spice and yeast. Not much visual carbonation with a smooth silky mouthfeel. Clean dry finish. Not bad at all.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a very dark black color with a very quick fading, tan colored head. Aroma has a good deal of roasted notes too it, light sweetness at the end of the nose with some light coffee and licorice notes. Flavor has a very washed out roastedness. Light sweet anise notes at the very end but honestly not much there. Body is pretty thin with not fine, semi-sharp carbonation. Overall a meh brew. Not much there to make me want to drink again.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Deep cola, thin sandy head, spotty lacing.   Burnt lactose
like nose, a little charcoal, some anise as it warms up.   Charred hay, charcoal,
and anise on the tongue.   This is supposed to be a Belgian Ale?   Mentions
dark wheat ale, but not sure how much of a wheat ale this is.   Not very
traditional at least.   Body and mouthfeel are thin to moderate.   Does seem to
pick up some wheatiness on the finish.   This is sorta of an odd duck.   Its
like it wants to be Belgian, but its just a little muddled dark wheat ale.   Wished
it had a bit more Anise in that case.   Thanks Bill!

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
Roasted malts, and chocolate comprise the nose. A black pour with an off-white, quickly dissapating, head and minimal lacing. The taste is malt forward. Roasted malts, coffee, suggestions of chocolate, with a bit of wheat present in the finish. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Round, smooth mouthfeel. Overall, I liked this beer! The taste is very roasty/toasty, but not over the top. Will buy more.

The Wit-O has a nice dark clear color, with a little white head, nice aroma of roasted malt with a finish of star anise. This beer is not a Belgium beer, its a dark wheat ale brewed with white wheat and chocolate wheat, with some Belgium malt and roasted malt. spicy saaz hops come through slightly with the star anise on the finish. You can not taste the 7.5 abv that’s why this is a scary little beer to drink. Goes down way to smooth, thin, not suppose to be thick like a porter or stout .

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Cavie. Very dark color, white head. I do smell the hint of liquorish, but it's not overpowering. Maybe a hint of coffee in the flavor. Feels a little thin in the mouth.
