On tap at Big Texas Beer Fest. Pours hazy gold with white, fizzy head. Aroma of jalapeño, vegitable with a pleasant graininess. Flavor is much the same with a pleasant, low heat. Light body with high carbonation. Overall, nice, interesting brew.

Sample at Kurtkeller 018: Tequila-aged and Let’s Agree to Ruin Our Evening with Pepper beers-tastic 01 on 11/04/2014. Hazy golden color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly. Spotty lacing. Vegetal aroma with some malt behind it. Medium body with flavors of mild jalapeno, grainy malt and a bit of fruit. The finish is semi-hot with a peppery aftertaste. Average overall.

The jalapeño comes on strong early and hits the back of the throat. Not too hot. Just there. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ America Strikes Back, Ulfborg. Pours slightly amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of spice, malt and hops. Deafening flavour of jalalalalalalalapeno yee-haw! Rodeo, man! Sweetish, malty notes can be discerned only in the onset. Then everything goes black...

Orange in color with a small white head. Fairly spicy aroma. Kind of like jalapeno infused soda water. A bit of rubber, maybe some fruit, grass, and light bread. The flavor is spicy and jalapeno forward. Water, mild bread sweetness, and some grass. Kind of thin on the tongue.

Poured at the Big Texas Beer Festival. Yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is light pepper and very bready. Taste is bread, grain, and nice pepper. By far the best pepper/chili beer I’ve had at this point. Balanced and not overboard with the salsa flavor.

Definitly a love it or hate it beer. I love spicy things but this was tough to drink. Lots of zip. Hard to say its bad and i could see some people liking it but probably the toughest beer i had to get through and i dint get through a lot.

The smell was absent in what was a delish looking deep red, with a darkness sitting underneath a heavily poored light tan finger and a half head. At first I am excited about a local pepper brew (I have dabbled brewing some spice beers) and the first sip gives me a smile, but then I realize I am alone on the expedition and now have to finish a heavily spiced beer that is missing a good body behind it. Needless to say I finished the fresh 12oz bottle that came straight to my glass from private sources unknow, but a little heavy on the spice and lacking on the beer. Worth drinking to support local brew. But share with a friend.
