Hefeweizen with Light body, well balanced between malt and hops. Very refreshing. Named after the boss of the house...yeah the real boss.

Smells like it tastes, has a little sediment at the end. Taste cloves with no aftertaste. Not my favorite.

Light yellow pour with a little haze, about a 1 finger head. Nose is soft fruit and light malt. Bittersweet. Middle is overripe bananas, little bitter...meh. Finish is more of the same. One dimensional.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained white head, over a slightly hazy, yellow (SRM 3) body.......nose is light wheat, light clove, minimal banana/bubblegum, no hops, balance to the yeast.....taste is light clove, slight banana/bubblegum, notes reminiscent of ginger ale, slight hop bitterness, finishing dry......mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, high foamy carbonation. This is rather mediocre attempt at the style. It is low in aromas and flavors that are usually found and is so light as to almost be reminiscent of a Kolsch. It is not a bad beer, just not a good Hefeweizen. Perhaps a change of yeast and or fermentation temperature would help correct.6/3/10/4/6

Bottle: Clear, bubbly dark gold with a white head. Aroma of soft bananas, bubblegum. Taste is the same, with the bubblegum being the more pronounced. Very tasty....just a little on the thin side, though.

Bottle. Strong banana, bubblegum, clove, and bready malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet banana, bubble gum, light clove, and biscuit malt flavor. Decent body. Pretty good - wish it had more malt flavor.

Tap at Yard House in Houston. Pale slightly hazy gold pour with a white head. Clove and wheat, thin palate, meh.

Bottle at home, pours clear golden, fizzy head fades into a lacy film. Aroma is pepper, Belgian yeast, a bit of citrus. Taste is grassy, a bit of yeast and pepper. A let down from the aroma, but still a decent beer. Light body, medium carbonation. Average hefe overall.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light yellow-gold with a shallow, mixed-grain, ephemeral white head. Nose is metallic, banana, a touch of adjunct, sugar, and a little spiciness. Aggressive carbonation on the tongue; less sweetness than most American hefes, with the usual profile of esters and clove. There’s just nothing notable about it; another mediocre-to-fair pale imitation of the real German thing. Finish is short. I’ll drink this, but I won’t want another.

No Label Hefe Weizen has an unusually narrow, white head, a very hazy, yellow-gold appearance, with a descending gray-yellow cloud, some bubble streams, and minimal lacing. The aroma is of subdued banana, coriander, citrus, and wheat bread, and the flavor is of those elements and likewise subdued (one could say it is dull). Mouthfeel is light and watery, and No Label Hefe Weizen finishes semi dry and on the mundane side. RJT

Decent beer. Aroma of clove and wheat. Light golden color, not too hazy. Light and crisp palate. Decent flavor but a little watered-down. Citrus wheat and clove, just more subtle than I wanted.
