On tap at the Whip In in Austin.
The beer pours a golden orange color with a white head. The aroma has quite a bit of wheat and yeast in it, as well as a little bit of banana. The flavor is similar. All three aspects of a hefeweizen are present - bananas, cloves and wheat. The banana and wheat are the most abundant, but the cloves are also present and add a little bit to the beer. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

On tap at Little Woodrows in Rice Village. Pours cloudy yellow. Lots of banana flavor, clove and spice, and crisp smooth finish. Very refreshing and nicely balanced. Iím not a big fan of Hefeweizens, but this one seems better done than most.

GABF 2011. Slight hazy bright gold with minimal head. Nice clove and wheaty nose, slight banana with more spicy yeast. Flavor is crisp and light with some ripe banana tones, yeasty clove and some wheat. Average at best, a little too sweet.

A little of a let down by No Labels El Hefe. Started good but becomes very floral. The color is a bit more yellow than typical hefeweizen. About half way through my pint I realized there was a strong thick taste building in my mouth. Lets hope start up No Label changes this a bit.

Nice new brew, using actual Hefeweizen yeast.
Good mouthfeel, color, and taste for this style. Straw gold, really cloudy like I like hefs to be. Barely picking up kind of an almost stale taste.
Enjoyable, yet I think that it can be improved upon a touch. I see great potential here. Personally, I could use a bit more banana and clove, but that could just be my opinion. Good work so far NL!
