Pours a surprisingly clear golden color with a white head. Nose opens up smelling more like a generic wheat beer. Some bread and straw notes and a bit of citrus peel. There is a touch of banana to it, however. The flavor is somewhat bitter for a hefeweizen. Lots of citrus peel, light banana, and some sweet bread and malt flavor. A touch of cardboard and very mild spice notes.

On tap at flying saucer Houston. Pours a murky yellow orange with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma is full of sweet bananas with a good amount of flora and a bit of sweet wheat. Flavor is sweet with bananas, light fruit and flora backed by a sweet wheat note.

Bottle:   Yellowish straw, slight haze, little sudsy white head, no lacing.   Yeasty nose, a little bubble gum and banana.   Wheaty up front, but void of much of what I smelled before.   Still remains yeasty/doughy.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Has a weird white grape finish, or something like white wine.   Pretty simple, interesting nose, but pretty boring on the tongue.   Thanks Bill!

growler, clear golden orange color with short lived foam, fruity banana aroma, flavor is initially pretty nice, banana and clove, has a hard time holding it together until the finish which gets astringent and metallic

On tap at the Whip In in Austin. The beer pours a golden orange color with a white head. The aroma has quite a bit of wheat and yeast in it, as well as a little bit of banana. The flavor is similar. All three aspects of a hefeweizen are present - bananas, cloves and wheat. The banana and wheat are the most abundant, but the cloves are also present and add a little bit to the beer. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

GABF 2011. Slight hazy bright gold with minimal head. Nice clove and wheaty nose, slight banana with more spicy yeast. Flavor is crisp and light with some ripe banana tones, yeasty clove and some wheat. Average at best, a little too sweet.
