Very slightly hazy blonde coloured body with a fast-dying pure white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, coriander seed, bubble gum, oranges and plenty of hay. Medium-bodied; Very mild flavours, but the wheat and yeast flavours are intense - a lot of soft wheat notes throughout with a very smooth finish. Aftertaste shows hints of the bubble gum, nutmeg and some light coriander seed, but this is all about the wheat - very refreshing! Overall, a very nice german style wheat that doesnít look the best, but has a great refreshing flavour full of wheat. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whip-In in Austin, Texas on 05-May-2014 for US$1.79 sampled at home in Washington on 31-July-2014.

Pours cloudy yellow with a medium sized white head. Smell hints of banana and clove with subtle citrus notes. Taste is primarily citrus, like lemon, and very subtle banana. Light bodied, smooth, prickly mouth-carbonation, No Label El Hefe finishes with a tangy, fruity kick.

A yeasty and clove aroma combined with nods to bananas and citrus. A voluminous frothy, mostly lasting white head, resulting from a vigorous pour, presents itself atop a hazy light yellow pour. Moderate lacing coats the glass. The taste acknowledges the holy trinity of Hefewiezens, yeast, bananas, and cloves. Also present are hints of wheat/grain and citrus. Medium body soft carbonation. The mouthfeel is creamy with just a touch of crispness in the finish. Overall, this is a decent example of a Hefewienzen that I would drink again.

On tap at Little Woodrows in Rice Village. Pours cloudy yellow. Lots of banana flavor, clove and spice, and crisp smooth finish. Very refreshing and nicely balanced. Iím not a big fan of Hefeweizens, but this one seems better done than most.
