Okay, finally getting around to reviewing more Northern Lights (No-Li) beers. After their rebranding everybody in the hometown suddenly wants to drink their beer again - meaning it’s finally fresh while on the shelves! Pours amber with soapy light tan foam atop. Smells of bubble gum, cotton candy, pine, resin, some grapefruit, a little touch of grass. I gotta say, this reminds me of two hearted initially. As it rests, the nose dies out pretty quick and becomes malt heavy. Flavor is bitter with matching sweet malts a bit o resin. Medium bodied with medium carb and a dry finish. Good beer

This is a really gorgeous IPA, reddish amber ale, deep in color with a truly sexy head. And later on, wow... what lacing! It has a remarkable nose of moderately dark caramel malts, nearly tasting like a red ale, with a beautiful bouquet of dark green, plant-like hops balanced nicely with the beer’s maltiness. A touch of some strange hop-infused candy helps decorate the aroma. More of that candy-like hop flavor and deeply caramelized maltiness join up in the flavor. A soft, but sharp hop bitterness bites the tip and underside of the tongue up front, and remains into the finish, which is intense in the top-center of the tongue and lasts long after the beer has gone down. It offers a very pleasant hop experience, with sweetness overshadowed by a slight burnt malt character. With this dark red malt presence and sharp hop bitterness this is much more like an India red ale, enjoyable, and completely out of the norm for an IPA. Nice!

$3 pint from bottle. Decent. Pungent. Bitter. Drinkable but only once. Prefer others but I'm glad I tried. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

@ Ölprovning i Klippan 18/10. Grape, citrus, tallbarr och kola i både doften och smaken. Bra beska med en medellång eftersmak. Känns nästan som en DIPA.

22 oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99- thanks again, Tom! Pours a deep orange-gold, mostly clear, with a white ring for a head. Notes of citrus and tropical fruits, pale and sweet malts, husky grains, and a hint of pine. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a clean mouthfeel that finishes dry. Good IPA. I seemed to like this better than the other guys; maybe that’s because I had it last and it had opened up. I don’t know.

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate complex west coast hop aroma. Medium body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is an interesting beer.
