COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This big, bold copper-colored ale showcases Munich & Crystal malts to create a big supportive body on which we layer our favorite Washington hops. Chinook & Cascade provide citrus and piney flavors, while Northern Brewer adds a hint of mint. Dry-hopping with Cascade and Columbus increases the beer’s hoppy aromas. Malt, hops and yeast-derived fruitiness combine to create our most complex offering.

This is a good IPA. I love the reddish amber appearance and light but fresh hop aromas. Some malt on the taste with mild bitter hops on the palate. Solid, but not outstanding.

Hazy brown pour with a large off-white head and lots of lacing. Aroma and taste is malty, biscuit, some caramel. Slightly bitter, big malty backbone. medium full mouthfeel.

Bottle in Seaside, OR. Nice copper body with slight head. Nose is floral, fruity. Taste of fruits, grapefruit, caramel and hops of course. Nice and bitter in the finish. Good one.

On tap. Pours a hazy copper with a thin, off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet, pungent aroma of grapefruit, caramel malt and pine. Sweet flavour of grapefruit, tropical fruit, caramel malt, pine and grass with a dry, bitter, hop resin finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Nice, very aggressive.

doesn’t seem to be the freshest, but still ok. Light floral and minty hops, moderate bitterness and a firm malt backbone, caramel and bread.

Bottle. Pours a clear red copper with a one finger beige head and minimal lacing. Smells of rust, pine, fruit. Taste is of black coffee and is malt heavy. Bitterness hits hard and lasts. Aftertaste is the best part of this one, when the actual flavors show through best.

4oz taster @ VCBW 2016-Day 1. Creamy entry, good balance of malt and hops. Clean finish with not too harsh bitterness. Some pine as well.

Bottle thanks to Sarah! Pours a hazy deep amber copper with a tan head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a strong malt profile with lots of sweet grains and some earthy pine underlying. Flavor has more of a grass and sweet grain combination with some pine and a bit of caramel.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Murky, dark amber with a small, fine light-khaki head and excellent lacing. Aroma of pine resin, dank citrus, herbal hops and tropical fruit. Taste of herbal hops, resin, dank citrus, earthiness and tropical fruit. Medium/full body and medium/high carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Type: 22-oz. bottle Glass: Clear hotel snifter glass From: Whole Foods Market in Honolulu, Hawaii Price: $6.99 Purchased: Dec. 20, 2015 Consumed: Dec. 23, 2015 Misc.: N/A Poured a dark honey, brown, murky color with 3-to-4 fingers of khaki white, frothy head. Excellent foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Excellent retention. (Sight - 3.75) Smelled cascade hops, herbal hops, menthol, rye hops, spicy chinook hops, caramel, toffee and veggies. (Smell - 3.25) Taste follows the nose, seeming more like a strong ale than an IPA (even an English IPA). Got caramel, toffee, herbal hops, menthol, cascade hops, tobacco and dates. Very malty. (Taste - 3.25) Medium body. Creamy texture Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 3.75) This should really be an American Strong Ale, but I reviwed this according to an IPA. Would have been around a 3.75 I would guess if reviewed this as an ASA. (Overall - 3.25) 3.33 76 B-
