Overall great tasting IPA! Beer poured with a very nice copper haze. The malt aroma really overpowered the hops. It could stand for more hops aroma. It had a nice balance of hops to maltiness taste. Always love it when I don’t get the alcohol in the palate, which in this case got the hotness from the alcohol in the stomach!

Tasted on tap at Schlafly Bottleworks, a guest tap leftover from the Repeal of Prohibition Festival. Orange amber colour with weak white foam. Intense American hoppy notes with a little English Northern Brewer snuck-in. Aroma was more enjoyable than flavour, which seemed a little coarse, less smooth than some of the other IPAs in a side-by-side trial. Mellow caramelly malts, a little residual sweetness to balance the bitterness, low-medium body

Solid IPA. Pours a deep amber color, with cream colored head. Lots of hops on the nose, citrus and pine. On the palate there is grapefruit with just a little grass.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a somewhat hazy but more of a clear amber body with a one and a half finger white foamy head that rises a bit and falls leaving some sticky lacing in the wake. The smell had a bitter citrus hops up front but a nice bready/maltiness angles in to also give a bit of a floral/piney-ness as well. The taste had a sweet yet bitter combination of hops to bready maltiness, also gets a bit orangey, aftertaste is exactly the same, dry finish. On the palate, it sat about a light to medium, sessionable, carbonation is good for the style and good for me. Overall, I’d say this is a pretty good AIPA, just a tad maltier than most AIPA’s but still worthy of another purchase.

@ Whole Foods Market / Asheville NC --- In a tall Pilsner glass. Good aroma of malt and hops. Slightly cloudy dark amber, 3" off-white head that stays a long time, bands of lace. Taste is caramel malt and toast that grows through the palate, revealing good medium citrus hops on the swallow. Malt reappears in time to join the bitters through a long finish. Not a huge taste, but, oh my, what a superb balance. Great with cheese and crackers. High recommendations.
