COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An intriguing spin cycle of English, German and American brewing techniques, Spin Cycle Red is a celebration of the classic English-style ESB. The perfect balance of malt and hops create an enjoyable and quaffable red ale. Spin Cycle’s specialty malts combine to provide an aroma of lightly toasted bread and caramel, while additions of American Noble hops add an herbal flavor for balance.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours hazy reddish brown with a beige-white thick head that slowly settled to a nice layer of scum throuout the session. I’d call the beer color mahogany hadn’t it been for the haziness of the beer. I’d give it a 4 in appearance but the foam head pulls it up to a 5:er. The aroma is a lovely mix of crystal malts, maybe some melanoidin/aromatic malts as well, and some piney hops. The taste takes the aroma impression up one more level. The beer is sweet from the crystal malts, and I guess some roasted malts are souring it somewhat. The balance from the hoppy bitterness comes in the second wave, but they are thankfully not overwhelming, backing up the sweetness rather than taking over. The texture is so soft, it’s delicious, and the beer reminds me of a belgian brune, albeit a bit lower in alcohol and with a less expressive yeast. It’s simply a wonderful beer of its’ type. Good work!

good for a fairly boring style - nutty, earthy aroma with faint citric hops. Taste is toast, earth and citrus, bread and nuts. Easy drinking and pleasant.

Surprisingly enjoyed this. Aroma and flavors were bold, with earthy malts, nuttiness, toasted biscuit and a slight hop bite. Reddish-brown color with a huge foamy head. Weighty and full but not filling.

From a bomber. Pours dark and slightly cloudy with medium head. Aroma is toffee and Carmel as advertised. Finish is on the sweet side with a little bit more malt than hops but one of the better ambers I’ve had.

Tap at DC Hama. Light pepper aromas with some caramel, toasted toffee and pine. Well-balanced on the palate with the caramel malt shining, but the nice peppery hops really stand out on the finish just enough to keep it interesting. Enjoyable.

650ml bottle pours a rich amber color with a 2 finger off-white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and citrus with some herbal or spicy notes. Taste is a citrus and spicy hop bitterness with a caramel malty sweetness. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, this is one of the better brews I have had in this style for a long time. Recommended, as it is quite tasty.

Tastes a lot stronger than it really is. It is one of the more pleasant Ale styles I have had in a while.

(Bottle, as "Crystal Bitter") Reddish amber colour, slightly hazy, with lasting rocky off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of treacle toffee, apricot marmalade, orange peel, red-currant and caramel. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, toffee, red fruit and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Gets a bit sweet after a while, but it’s tasty and quite well balanced. Quite nice.

On Tap clear chestnut brown with a small skin of a lasting head. Sturdy lacing, Light toasted malt aroma, and woody light toast malt flavors. A slightly bitter astringent brown ale. Im used to a more fresh hoppy bit in red’s. Still, not unpleasant.
