3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Foco. Pours a clear, dark reddish orange appearance with a nice khaki head. Somewhat spicy, grapefruity, a touch resiny hoppy, toasty caramel malty, inviting aroma. A bit sweet, spicy, pretty potent juicy, herbal hoppy, somewhat spicy flavor with a somewhat dry, earthy finish. Pretty easy to drink. Not a bad addition to the Colorado market.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy deep ruby copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of caramel, toast, toffee, biscuit, orange zest, lemon zest, pear, apple, floral, grass, light pine, herbal, and floral/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of hop, malt, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of caramel, toast, toffee, biscuit, orange peel, pear, apple, nuttiness, floral, grass, pine, herbal and floral/yeast earthiness. Moderate earthy herbal/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, biscuit, nuttiness, orange zest, pear, apple, floral, grass, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of malt, hop, and yeast ester flavors; with nice robustness, malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy, smooth, and moderately crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice ESB style. All around good balance and robustness of malt, hop, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Bigfoot Pub - where Madonna made her cinematic debut.
Pours the usual copper with a solid light tan foam and brilliant clarity. Smells of tea, light crystal malts, some herbal hop and noble, English character. Flavor is slightly bitter with a decent modified sweetness and some tea character. Just slightly sweeter and I’d be quire reminded of Fuller’s ESB. Medium bodied with light carb and a semi dry finish. This is a decent enough offering. I spent many nights getting blasted on this beer when i first started drinking, and it is validating to know I have decent tastes.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap @ Tin Bucket... Poured reddish with an eggshell, off-white head. Wonderful retention and lacing. Good caramel, bready malts. Light hoot tones but no bitterness. Mildly dryng. Good drinkable, clean ESB. Certainly on the malty side but very balanced for what it is.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle, shared with friends. Mostly clear red orange color, hint of brown. Good thin off-white head. Few loose bits of lace. Good head retention. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, crisp, lightly creamy texture, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Nice dark fruity notes, but not sweet. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet. Good bittering hop. Earthy hop notes. Good example of an American ESB. I liked this better than No-Li’s IPA. Very solid and enjoyable. Gets better as I go... Or at least, remains solid enough to wave off my initial skepticism. Much better than expected.
