12 oz bottle. Pours a nice goldenrod color, some head, not much lacing. Aroma is mainly strong citrus hops, with some floral notes as well. Flavor is deliciously bitter hops up front with a good malt backbone. The palate is perfect for an imperial IPA, with a bit more thickness than a standard IPA. Overall this is a great beer, and I look forward to having a couple more!

22 oz bottle on sale (old) at Coconuts. Cloudy darker orange appearance with a fluffy, lingering, sticky white head. Aroma of pine, resinous hops, citrus fruit, toasted grains and light toffee. Flavor is medium to heavy resiny bitterness and light grainy sweetness. Medium plus body, a little thick and almost syrupy with a somewhat dry, lingering bitter finish. OK, not too fresh of bottle most likely. Hard to drink.

On Tap at the River Room, While Foods, Boise Hazy golden orange, with an impressive full off-white head leaving heavy thick sheets of lacing. Modest fresh citrusy hop aroma. Big IBU bite and reasonable west coast hop flavors. A little metallic and medicinal, late grassy bitterness. Pretty clean and modest bodied for a double. Decent.

Made in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Expo ’74 World’s Fair in Spokane, Washington. Tastes great. I wonder if they were drinking IPA back then?

Bottle from Legacy Liquor, Vancouver
Hazy blond color with medium head. Intense aroma, yellow fruits, apricots; mellow; later, a bit of pungent animal aroma appear. The mouthfeel is quite dry and lean, although also minimally oily; good malt flavor, a bit toasty, and with some fudge/toffee; very strong bitterness; the hopping is resiny and fruity, although in the very end there is a bit of chicory bitterness; I may sense infinitesimal diacetyl, not enough to disturb though.
Very good.
