3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from State Line. Pours thick and turbid deep orange with 2-finger frothy white head and a shitload of floaties. Nose is pine-needly hops, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, tannins, caramel malt, in roughly that order. Tastes of intense piney/resiny hops, tannins, caramel malt, pineapple, mango, with a very bitter and IBU-heavy finish. This one has a Peter Northian IBU load, but doesn’t have the balance or the pop of the masterpiece IIPAs.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours murky orange into the glass, with a creamy thick head that retains well, leaving soapy webbed lacing. The nose is very citric with hints of floral. Flavors are of grapefruit citrus, piney bitters, light oranges, biscuit, and finish with peppering bold bitter hops that linger appropriately. The medium-body and semi-dry palate feel lively in the mouth, making for a hot summer offering that goes down well. The dryness of the malting in brew really lets the citrus hops stand out and shine in the forefront on this offering. Nice take.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours an attractive hazey yellow with a white head. The combo of the malt and hops smells like roses to me. The peppery and citrus notes are delightful. It’s light body, dank and pungent, finishes an intense dry bitter. ABV is well hidden, this is delicious.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deep hazed straw body. Tall white head. Big chewy malt body with a lightly sweet caramel component. Slight toasted bread quality with a little cookie sweetness. Simple hop profile with muted citrus and pine - a bit overpowered.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The aroma is subtle with alcohol predominating. Taste of alcohol, hop bitterness with subtly citrusy hop taste, and a hint of malty sweetness.

22 ounce bottle from Bruisin Ales. Matly and sticky for a double. Some citrus to it but slightly faded. Slight hops beyond the bitter.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy dark yellow with a tall, off white head.
Big hop aroma of citrus and pine resin.
The flavor is firmly bitter from start to the finish with malt sweetness that supports but doesn’t become sticky sweet like some IIPAs.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy amber pour with a moderate thick tan head. Considerable lacing. Aroma is sweet, citrus fruit, a little pine and hops. The flavor is solid for a dipa. Thick and chewy, so you know you have a big apv. Very good brew.

Bottle from Bestway. Always up for a good PNW IPA and this one does not disappoint. A bit on the peppery spice side but with a good dose of citrusy orange and grapefruit hops. Mostly orange citrus in the aroma. Caramel malt backbone to add some balance. Finish gets to the grapefruit that leaves a slight bitter burn on the back of your throat.
