Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a moderate head. Nose is quite floral up-front. Taste is definitely hoppy and bitter with the floral elements coming through in the taste, too. Very easy drink.

Bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of skunk bud, earthiness, mustiness, pine and citrus. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, skunk bud, mustiness and pine with a crisp dry bitter lingering pine finish. Not sure what Beaver was drinking but it does’nt sound like what I had.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy copper with a foamy/creamy near-white head. Aroma is very hoppy, but it’s not harsh resin or citrus. Sort of mixed floral/citrus over a light, pleasant caramel backdrop. Near full bodied. Flavor is very hoppy - there’s hop burn. Still it seems floral and citrus. Amazing amount of hop here. Not even noticing the malt til I think about it. Suddenly I get light pitted fruit - apricot. Amazing. (that’s twice for that word). This finishes smoothly and hugely bitter. Extremely pleasant to drink.

ACHops (282) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 17, 2013
22oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours bright golden yellow with medium head, although quite a bit of sediment as the last sip poured much darker, more of a golden amber. Aroma is sharp piney hops with a bit of sweetness in the background. Taste is sweet thick caramel malt followed immediately by big bitter hops. Nice pine and citrus notes. Quite strong tasting for such a (relatively) low abv. Not as balanced as some of the better DIPAs, but solid. Reasonably priced too.

22. Pours a slightly hazy medium amber with a thin, loose tannish head and plenty of sedimentary rings of lace. Orange peels and grapefruit on the nose, along with some caramel. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Toast, caramel, and grapefruit on the mid palate, with a big piney wash at the end. Nice oily effect on the finish, but other than that, just another well-made DIPA. Doesn’t stand out too much from the crowd good or bad, but worth a glassful for sure.

The pour is a clear amber with a moderate, off-white, pillowy head which settles to a thin froth and leaves drippy lace. The nose carries a caramelly, biscuity malt base, very rustic, passion fruit, tangerine, resinous, and slight herbal. The flavor is similar with same toasty biscuits and caramel, resinous pine, rustic still, passion fruit and slight white grapefruit. The palate is more than medium, less than lively, velvety, and sticky. The finish carries a moderately high bitterness, still some caramelly bitterness, rustic, and light herbal. Actually a pretty decent IPA/IIPA with nice citrus and tropical fruit from what I assume are Simcoe. A nice malt backbone to support the bitterness and hop complexity. Nice beer from a new brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
