4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle courtesy of pjdipes. 22oz bomber pours with a clear copper body supporting a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet malts with a dash of biscuit malts mixing with resiny pine hops and some citrus hard candy notes. The taste delivers rich deep chewy notes that are grapefruit and tangerine as well as resiny pine hop goodness with a decent enough base of sweet malts. The malts fade some into the finish leaving pleasing rich hoppiness lingering behind. Enjoyable IIPA.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled: very recently (last 14 days).
Pours amber with a few soapy white bubbles atop. Brilliant clarity. Nose carries plenty of pine, wood, catty characteristics, some mint (surprising), a bit of resin. This is a far deviation from the usual context of Markís beers. Flavor is a bit sweet and caramel laden with a good bitterness and some tropical fruits as well (pineapple, grapefruit). Finish flavor is sweet and malty with some hints of orange juice and bitterness. Medium bodied with moderate carb and an off dry finish, making is pretty refreshing. This beer is tasty, easy to drink for ABV and something Iíd consider having again - but Iíd rather have Crystal Bitter, Solar Winds or IPA from the same brewery first.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pretty pour, hazy and off-orange, sticky head. Nice citric aroma. Drinks with a sticky acidity, cloying even. Thereís a big woody undertow here, too. A classical example of a NWUSA IPA! (#5347, 12/5/2013)

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 Oz Bomber. The beer pours to an orange color with a small white head. The aroma has citrus, grass, bread notes to it. The taste is light in body with a good balance of hop & malt. Overall a very good DIPA for me.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from the Tin Bucket. Pours a dark copper color with a large off-white head. A sweet lemon, biscuit and yeasty nose. The flavor is odd, maybe off: citrus, big sweetness, almost to DMS corn levels or even perhaps light diacetal, itís hard to say next to big sweet citrus and malts. Bitterness is medium. Again, itís a very round odd sweetness, something almost like plastic or corn. I strongly suspect some quality problem here. Iíll happily re-rate. Not too good as is.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate complex bitter flavor with a moderate complex bitter finish of medium to long duration. This is a solid beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Hayduke. We had it together via facebook chat. This pours orange gold and is quite hazy. Scads of beige sediment floating. A big off white head becomes soapy. The aroma is full of tropical fruit hops. That is tasted as well. This was sulfur throughout. Ron only tasted it after he poured yeast so it must have been from the sediment. There Is pineapple, mango, and tangerine by the pound in here. One thing I really enjoyed about this beer was that it changed with almost every sip. Not very many beers do that and this did it well.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
This as a joint-tasting with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours a very clear at beginning copper gold and hazy at the end after the last pour. Off-whie head and good lacing. Nose is full of hops, but there is fruit as well. Full in body with a smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is full of various tasts, including flowers early along with mango, but as time goes on we get pineapple, apricot, and pine. Sulfur and some alcohol at the end. The finish is very bitter. This is very easy to drink and goes down oh so easily for a DIPA. Great beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Appearance is a hazy orange amber color with a half-inch of beige foam and bubbles. The nose is dominated by citrus rind, pine resin and floral hops. The flavor starts with a blend of grapefruit, orange peel and pine along with some herbal hops and biscuit malt notes. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation and a bitter citrus finish. A straightforward PNW style DIPA for the most part with a healthy dose of hops.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Crisp, very nice copper and bronze coloured body with a slight haze and a perfect 3 centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of malt, alcohol, oranges, lemons and a lot of bright piney and citrus hops - very nice smell. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour with pine and citrus (especially) dominating the flavour, some good malt back notes, a little earthiness and a lot of bitterness from pine and resin. Aftertaste has a great balance of the malt and hops with more of a dominance on the hops - but in a very good way. Overall, a great Imperial IPA, perfectly balanced and showing a ton of flavour, but not too much - great to sample and my only flaw is the large format bottle, but thatís standard here on the West Coast. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased a few minutes ago from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 27-September-2013 for US$8.23 sampled in my hotel room here in Portland on 27-September-2013.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a medium-light golden, slightly muddy, a fair amount of haze and with a decent off-white head, not too dense but lingers and leaves soapy lacing around the edge of a glass. Aroma immediately hints at familiar dried old oranges, grapefruit pith, lemony, and a very slight aged pineyness. Cascade and Centennial hops are first and foremost in the hop department. In other words, it represents the classic aromas of a NW style IPA. Thereís a light candy-like sweetness in flavor at first that is then bull-rushed with a firm bitterness that lingers and is quite catty. The bitterness is a bit rougher than other more favorable imperials, but is tolerable and bodes well with this particular beer. Yeast esters are clean and there are no fruity characteristics. Alcohol is smooth and it sneaks up on you. A medicinal-note is detectable in the finish. Again though, the bitterness is a bit harsh and this beer could benefit from bittering hops with lower co-ho. Overall though this is a nice IIPA that is decent yet average in a world of IIPAs.
