An intriguing spin cycle of English, German and American brewing techniques, Spin Cycle Red is a celebration of the classic English-style ESB. The perfect balance of malt and hops create an enjoyable and quaffable red ale. Spin Cycle’s specialty malts combine to provide an aroma of lightly toasted bread and caramel, while additions of American Noble hops add an herbal flavor for balance.

650ml bottle pours a rich amber color with a 2 finger off-white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and citrus with some herbal or spicy notes. Taste is a citrus and spicy hop bitterness with a caramel malty sweetness. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, this is one of the better brews I have had in this style for a long time. Recommended, as it is quite tasty.

Tastes a lot stronger than it really is. It is one of the more pleasant Ale styles I have had in a while.

(Bottle, as "Crystal Bitter") Reddish amber colour, slightly hazy, with lasting rocky off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of treacle toffee, apricot marmalade, orange peel, red-currant and caramel. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, toffee, red fruit and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Gets a bit sweet after a while, but it’s tasty and quite well balanced. Quite nice.

On Tap clear chestnut brown with a small skin of a lasting head. Sturdy lacing, Light toasted malt aroma, and woody light toast malt flavors. A slightly bitter astringent brown ale. Im used to a more fresh hoppy bit in red’s. Still, not unpleasant.

Bottle may have been stored wrong. Lots of foam. A little sour. That said, the flavor is pretty good.

22oz in Seattle. Rosy Amber malts. Some sweet hops. It just tastes too clean, like others from this brewery.

Nicely crafted ESB, bitter with some sweet, syrupy malt in the background. Nice lasting velvety head on a medium amber body. Sweet aroma, bitter taste. Very enjoyable.

I had this beer under it’s pseudonym "Crystal Bitter ESB". Reddish amber brown in color with light tan head, medium collar, good lacing and wisps. Aroma is caramel malts and earthy hops. Taste is too bitter for a bitter in my opinion. I get some earthy hoppiness, burnt caramel, and wet wood. Medium body and medium carbonation as well.

Pint poured reddish brown. Mild hop aroma. Spicy hops and bread. Dry and bitter. Not bad.

On tap @ The Cask. Pours dark reddish caramel with thin off white head. Aroma is sweet roasty caramel malt. Taste is big dark roasty carame malt, clean aftertaste. Nothing remarkable, but solid malty beer. Plenty of flavor for a red ale.
