Draught at St. Augustineís, Vancouver
Cloudy amber color with compact head. Strong Amber Ale, with caramel backbone and solid hopping; itís moderately sweet, it has bold bitterness, some hop resins, and a pleasant final alcohol warmth. The aroma is too mild, the malt is not really expressive, the hops are aggressive but not elegant.
Bold brew. I would drink it with food, but as standalone it may get boring.

On tap at BevX360, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma and flavour are more on the hoppy side, with piney hops, resin and bready caramel malt. Good balance, but nothing special.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours rather hazy blood orange with a large beige head. Strong aromas of fruit and resin. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is lots of grapefruit rind and resin over a lot of light roast malt. This is a mouth grabber. Excellent IPA.

Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations were met.

Small off-white head atop clear dark amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, caramel, some pine, light cherry. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit/pine, caramel, light cherry. Medium body, some resin, light acidity. Quite hoppy, which really isnít a characteristic of a winter warmer. Tasty though.
