Wrecking Ball is an intense and delightful jet black stout. Chocolate and roasted barley malt dominate the aroma with fruity flavors to follow. This bittersweet and full-bodied ale comes in at a towering 9.5% alc/vol.

Dark black, no head, red edges. Sweet aroma with fudge. Flavor, high bitterness, pine-oil, juicy fruit, fudge, espresso. finish is like cake batter. Very sweet.

22 oz bottle thanks to Willrunforbeer. Guessing this is a 2014 vintage with no bottle date coding. Sat in Brian seller at least a year and a half. Pitch black color, lasting off white head. Aroma is lots of raisin, dates, sugarcoated plums. Very weak roast.

Flavor is dark for a dominant, again raisins and date heavy with a bitter chocolate finish. ABV is pretty hidden, body is a little thin. But pretty good.

22oz bottle from trade. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, dark fruit, a touch of roast. Flavor is a bit drier than I expected, with same dark chocolate, dark fruit, coffee roast. Finish is overextracted coffee bitterness.

650ml bottle from Total Wine in Jensen Beach, shared by bananabi11. Very dark brown pour with a tan head leaving little lacing. Aroma has caramel and chocolate with light roast. Taste adds molasses into the roasty, cocoa, caramel and chocolate, but this never gets sweet. Solid and tasty. 13.8

Bottle from World Beer Market (Sake no Taniguchi). Good raosty nose, with chocolate, and light lactose notes. Near pitch black, with slightly translucent edges and tan lace. Medium-deep roast flavor, some charred wood, dark fruit, good chocolate, licorice, and alcohol. Medium-heavy body. Body is a bit light for the style. Very tasty.

Draught at DevilCraft. Pretty good surprise, rich syrupy dark chocolate with lingering spicy notes, booze is definitely there too, almost feels barrel-aged. Good stuff.

Cloudy black with lace. Nose of chocolate, caramel, lightly spicy yeast, cookies / brownies. Light but smooth, great chocolate flavors with a bitter finish.

Dark brown color. Light brown head. Coffee roasted malts and dark chocolate in the nose. Medium body, a bit more carbonated than I would have preferred. Medium body with some dark fruit but overall just kinda ok.

I liked what one reviewer said: like a Black IPA with more hops. I’ll add quite a bit more creamyness w a nice oatey mouthfeel. Cocoa charcoal, great drinkability, but def earns its 9.5%
