About half dig this beer and half don't. This is a great beer but more of a matured pallet would appreciate. Definitely want to try more wrecking ball!

Baby cuz I’m a wrecking ball, baby cuz ImA recking ball! Alright take it easy Hannah Montana, this beer courtesy of Grayson actually comes from Washington. Which is cool. This pours the part of an stout, dark and a thick lacing coat. Nose has some roasted coffee. Taste is slight astringent, bitter, good espresso. Body is light per style but makes for a drinkable http://i.imgur.com/pmXZONg.jpg

Noir avec un petit col beige. L’arôme du malt torréfié un peu sucré. Le goût est du malt torréfié avec un peu d’amertume dans la finale. Très onctueux avec plein du malt noir.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours an almost pitch black color with a one finger of tan colored head. The head fades rather fast, leaving a relatively light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is quite heavy of a chocolate smell mixed with some lighter aromas of roasted malt and coffee. There is a decent sum of a caramel, molasses, and brown sugar smell as well along with some lighter aromas of a more earthy nature. Overall the aroma is quite sweet, dessert like, and robust. Taste – The taste begins with a nice roasty malt taste with a strong showing of sweeter flavors of molasses and brown sugar as well as a sweeter chocolate flavor. These flavors create a base taste for the brew and remain till then end. As the taste advances some flavors of coffee and more roast come to the tongue, with these being joined by a little bit of a licorice taste. Some earthy and grassy hop flavors as well as a hit of alcohol come to the tongue at the very end, leaving a warmingly semi-sweet roasted flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is thick and creamy with a carbonation level that is on the slightly lower side. For the rich dark, sweeter, and boozy flavors of the brew the feel is quite nice and creates a very mouth coating feel which accentuates the nice warming and dark flavors well. Overall – A nice drinking stout with a thick and sweet, but roasty and boozy taste. A pretty nice imperial overall, and one to try if you get a chance.

12oz bottle from Crafted Drafts. Black pour with thin tan head. Aroma of sweet brown sugar, roasted malt, chocolate. Tastes are the roasted barley, chocolate, light licorice, dark fruit. Well balanced. Slight metallic vibe in the bitter finish.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained light beige head, with heavy lacing, over a clear, brownish black body......nose is heavy roasted malts, with coffee, hints of chocolate, hints of dried fruits, plum, raisin, light hops note, balance to the malts......taste is lightly sweet, with heavy coffee, hints of chocolate from the roasted malts, very light hints of dried fruits, finishing moderately bitter, from the roasted malts and hops, balance to the malts.....mouth feel, medium body, slightly sticky, alcohol warmth present, carbonation makes a creamy mouthful. This is a relatively simple Imperial Stout. The roasted malts are quite dominant, and it lacks some of the malt depths frequently found in this style. More caramel, crystal would make a better beer with more depth. Also the esters are low, so would a different yeast make a better, more complex beer? BJCP 7/3/13/4/6

Draft at blue moon grille. Pours pitch black with a medium sized brown head that dissipates slowly. The aroma has a lot of roasted malt and milk chocolate. The taste has a big milk chocolate, coffee bitterness, dry bitter roasted malt. Good but average for the style.
