Dense black with a tan head, wrecking ball looks great in the glass. Aroma is spectacular, bringing smokey roasted coffee with deep malts and burnt toast. The flavor is what throws this stout off for me being its way too hoppy and lacking in balance. The palate / finish are near perfect, its too bad it was over hopped.

Bomber from Safeway. Black in color upon pouring. Dry and roasty smelling. Not much sweetness. Sweet chocolate and coffee up front. Some milk sugar and some strong roasted coffee beans. Pretty good bitterness as well. Good quality stout with a lot of coffee and a good bitter finish.

Pours medium to light black, not at thick as some, with a thin brown head. Aroma is light chocolate, some toasty malt, but not to pronounced. Flavor is nice and creamy chocolate. Very drinkable. Not sweet but more of a roasty chocolate, medium palate imp stout. Good based on drinkability.

A nice stout overall. Pours a super thick black with a creamy tan head. Smells lightly of cinnamon, milk, chocolate and baked bread. Taste is very thick, almost milk shake like, with some chocolate, cream, and a sizzling thyme in the finish. A nice boozy warmth in the aftertaste. Had in the bottle.

On tap @ the brewery, our twelfth and final brewery on TvM’s Bachelor Party NW Ale Trail Expedition. Near black body, flavours of chocolate liqueur and black burnt malts, maybe some underlying cherry fruit. Big bitter finish. Perhaps a bit sweet for an impy, but I liked it.
