3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dense black with a tan head, wrecking ball looks great in the glass. Aroma is spectacular, bringing smokey roasted coffee with deep malts and burnt toast. The flavor is what throws this stout off for me being its way too hoppy and lacking in balance. The palate / finish are near perfect, its too bad it was over hopped.

650ml bottle from Total Wine in Jensen Beach, shared by bananabi11. Very dark brown pour with a tan head leaving little lacing. Aroma has caramel and chocolate with light roast. Taste adds molasses into the roasty, cocoa, caramel and chocolate, but this never gets sweet. Solid and tasty. 13.8

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from World Beer Market (Sake no Taniguchi). Good raosty nose, with chocolate, and light lactose notes. Near pitch black, with slightly translucent edges and tan lace. Medium-deep roast flavor, some charred wood, dark fruit, good chocolate, licorice, and alcohol. Medium-heavy body. Body is a bit light for the style. Very tasty.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at DevilCraft. Pretty good surprise, rich syrupy dark chocolate with lingering spicy notes, booze is definitely there too, almost feels barrel-aged. Good stuff.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown color. Light brown head. Coffee roasted malts and dark chocolate in the nose. Medium body, a bit more carbonated than I would have preferred. Medium body with some dark fruit but overall just kinda ok.

I liked what one reviewer said: like a Black IPA with more hops. I’ll add quite a bit more creamyness w a nice oatey mouthfeel. Cocoa charcoal, great drinkability, but def earns its 9.5%

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A good balance of malt and bittersweet chocolate, leaning on the earlier. A little ageing did not hurt. Very good drinkability and meal accompaniment.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a bomber on 11.24.15. A: Dark chocolate, fudge, citrusy hops, and cocoa. A: 3 finger off-white head with an easy pour. The head stays at 1 finger. Opaque black body. T: Citrusy hops, cocoa, and fudge dominate. Roasty malt is subtle. P: Smooth with lots of lingering resin. O: This is a big, hoppy CDA. The bottle must be freshy fresh because the hops are super strong.
